All the times she tried to interpret his emotions for Imarti were also never about focusing on him.....it was more like an abstract fascination with the love and emotions he had for Imarti.....I remember the night after she told him to write the letter for Imarti, the next morning she told him she did it because she was curious to learn about the "tees" in his heart.....she almost said it with the curious fascination of a child....rather than actually processing that pain or identifying with his emotions or pain directly.

So yes, you're absolutely right....she would first have to learn how to put herself aside to even begin to truly understand the depth of someone's emotions....she somehow always manages to make it about her own interpretation of something or about how it impacts her rather than the other person.

So as you said....if HS loves her now, it's all about the fact that he loves HER....it's increased HER importance....that is all that's gotten through to her.

I just wonder if one day he is really going to think about why he got married in the first place and if this is indeed what he wants for himself. It's hard for widowed people to remarry and then break off the second marriage too, because of their past experience with loss. Often people would rather be in a hollow marriage than all alone. I know it's easy for us to say as outsiders but those who are in such situations do struggle. Let's not forget, all his suffering and pain is still repressed. After getting this taste of family, I am not sure he could live without either Babita or Minnie.

I have never ever seen her think about HS' situation. You know, I don't need her to be a deep thinker, philosopher, etc. Just show that she cares about what's raging inside him, see the pain in his eyes, at least ask him to talk about himself, on topics that have nothing to do with her. Forget wife, even friends do that for each other. It's so frustrating to think that at this rate he may never open up to her about his past.

I think if/when Minnie's breakdown does happen, it will be anti-climactic - I am no longer confident it would be this milestone in their lives that we'd always expected it would be.

Even if it's about Minnie, HS is a huge and important part of Minnie's life. At least for her daughter's sake Babita needs to step up.

But this talk of babita not wanting to work anymore is actually very sad and unrealistic. Its not right to lean on HS when she can earn for herself. Mini is 18 right so she will need money to go to college and also she will get married. I dont think HS can pay for college with the police salary.

I think her business might go bust and HS will do whatever he can to pay for Minnie's education. (main nahin sudharni waali, hope karti rahoongi).
