I mean itne gusse and dokhe k saath bhi.. b/c usko yahi pata tha k sadia ne Ahmer k baby ko umair ka bataya hai sabko.. so umair k liye dokha hi hua na.. but phir bhi he care for her still..why b/c he loved her.
sana you are right, he indirectly or directly always protected her. he could have even gone to hamid and told him that baby is not his, bec hamid was the once who forced the nikaah on them, but he still didnt say anything. I feel zubi was no longer important to him thats why he never bothered to clarify anything with her. i mean what he did in his dream on her marriage night, he could have done for real, bec he had all the reason and chance but he didnt. he could have told zubi that sadia unborn is ahmer child. zubi may have stopped her marriage with ahmer. umair was not concerned about zubi life at all.
i have a different opinion about your take on why he wanted sadia to admit baby was ahmer, i feel it was the other way round, he wanted her to prove that it wasnt ahmer. if he really wanted sadia to go back to ahmer then he would have told ahmer that he and zubi had affair and sadia image is clean, he could have told ahmer than on mayo night the truth, but there he fussed about baby being ahmers. why he never bothered to stop the wedding bec if his nikaah with sadia wasnt jayaz, then how can ahmer marry sadia sister zubi, bec ahmer nikaah was still on with sadia? umair was going through a rollar coaster ride of different emotions, he one side was jelaous and other side not ready to fully believe that he could rape her and baby was his.
when he asked sadia about her raviya and why she married him when she loved ahmer so much, was all his jealousy
when he got her home after the road scene, he even asked her why she keeps meeting ahmer when he is about to marry zubi. he was not ready to take the fact that they were still in contact.
his nervousness whilst receiving the report conveyed so much. he always deep down wanted her to be right that why he never compelled on giving her a divorce even after he was all red in jealousy. he left that option open for both him and sadia, unlike ahmer who divorced her right way and closed all the doors
