Welcome to Adulthood Minnie! - Aa Jao Saarey - Full Update Page 1 - Page 12

A few random things that stood out to me:

• Minnie was studying for her psychology exam. I guess, she too has taken interest in it. In a way it's good for her as she'll understand a lot of behavioral concepts that may have otherwise been unknown to her.
  
  
• Babita was reflecting on Naeem Bi's words but it didn't seem like she really understood them. When she apologized to Minnie, there was a childish quality to it. She apologized for forgetting her birthday, but not for the way she treated Minnie in the past two days. The comparison to Meeta, humiliating her in front of her friends or even slapping her. They were all forgotten by her. Instead, she immersed herself and displayed her excitement in the cake she baked and the gift she got. I'm not faulting her for having these moments but she had the perfect opportunity to address the real problems here but she didn't.
  
  
• Babita telling HS that Minnie doesn't care about gifts but needs the reassurance of what place she has in people's lives - she's throwing Naeem Bi's words at him here but it's all twisted. Babita was trying to express her love for Minnie via gifts because she thought that's what made her happy but it's not true. Minnie needs her mother's love, that's it. Similarly, Minnie doesn't need gifts from HS to know that he loves her. Just a simple hug, his continual support, and his shoulder upon which she can cry on - they all had would have been enough. Instead, Babita is forcing him into a position where only materialistic objects can the sole medium of expressing love.
  
  If her point was that he hasn't even been making the efforts to be there for Minnie emotionally, then it came out all wrong.
  
  
• Minnie offering HS tissues to wipe his tears away. In the past, she used to do it herself. Another minute expression of the distances between them. However, when HS brokenly asked her if she still thought of him as her hero, she did wipe them herself.
  
  
• There was also a lot of handshaking. HS doing it while wishing Minnie a happy birthday kind of positioned them as strangers. Like, they're two individuals who are just getting to know each other. In a way, it's true because post marriage, they both don't know where they stand with each other. This undefined relationship is making things hella awkward between them. However, the handshake that we saw in the precap had more trust and faith in it. That though things are stressful right now, at least they can rely on each other.

I don't know whether or not it was wrong on HS' part to not get a gift. I'm just happy he didn't get it for Babes. On her saying, or because of her expectations. Whatever he gives Minnie tomorrow will be from him to her, not for any other person. ❤️

And why the hell did they cut out Mini and Babes’s Payal scene. That was such a cute scene where Babita was putting Payal on Mini. These cvs are so annoying 🤔.

I didn’t find Mini-Babes scene fake. I think it was cute and a beautiful scene.

The chasm opened between Hannie was so evident today. A handshake for a birthday wish. Tissues for wiping tears. Then she saw her Hanuman uncle truly hurting and her wall broke down and she expressed what her emotions were. I don't think Mickey had anything to do with that.

The only portions where I felt his influence was when she said she will be okay if he can never be her father and she can survive. I wanted to cry and scream, "chal jhuti", at the same time. 🤣

Though, I feel this too was necessary. She doesn't see him as her hero anymore. Yes, he loves her Babes, married her, keeps her happy, but he isn't HER hero anymore. She isn't putting him on a pedestal. Her accepting that her Hanuman uncle is imperfect was a big deal for me.

Now, they can truly focus on rebuilding their relationship without wiping the hurt of the past few weeks away. They don't have to pretend to each other. The expectations are out of the way. Now they just need to be themselves and let their relationship grow organically. It'll take time, but it'll be even more beautiful.

The more you run behind it, the more it gets away. Now that there are no expectations or burdens, I'm expecting that AB FINALLY jaakar we will have this pair outshine their own history.

And waise bhi the most complicated problems have the simplest solutions so yeah. I'm hopeful now. Dare these CVs disappoint me again!

Babita did say that it’s not about gifts. It’s about pyaar jatana. All he had to do was go up to her and wish her happy birthday on his own without Babita’s insistence. And have the rest of the convo they had today.

Yes, but from how I read the scene, HS had literally just come back from work and I don't think Minnie was at home the time considering she went out to get the photo frame. So inn sab mein woh kab wish karta?

But they did show it. 🤔

Babes Mini scene wasn't fake but it didn't come off as truly heart to heart for me.

I wonder if HS will gift her or it'll be forgotten again?

I'm excited now for this new beginning they've made. Strangers toh strangers hi sahi, atleast they're on the same page now. Bass ab gaadi derail na ho😆

It wasn't about gifts or wishing. To me, it was about him being so casual and indifferent about her birthday that was irking Babita. The day was special and HS had that I don't care attitude. Okay, he might be irritated bit I guess she might've asked him about his plans for her birthday and then he came up with things like he forgot or what's the need and stuff.

Even though it was for a brief moment, I didn't see that Mickey held Minnie's hand.

I'm still not that mature to understand this whole Soulmate, BF and bestie stuff. So for that, I'm with Babita. In teeno ki kitni bhi understanding ho, no one else should be expected to understand and accept it.

And for a city like Patiala and people like Babita, its scandalous to say the least 🤣
