What Babita said about Hanuman being at fault is in guilt.. she wanted to assuage her guilt of forgetting her daughter's birthday so she put the blame on someone else

Hanuman on the other hand genuinely seems to believe that Babita is the reason for his and Mini's distance

I don’t think he genuinely feels that. I think he was upset coz she blamed him.

And if he does believe it, then he needs to step up. Babita is not holding him by hand to Not go and bridge the gap.

He doesn’t try talking to Mini then he is proving Babita right that he doesn’t care.

He can’t- whatever he does has to be preapproved by Mama Babita. How can he bypass the chain of command? Makaan Malkin se panga!! I don’t HS ki itni himmat hain. Ma Beti dono drammebaaz hain when it comes to their feelings. They will play victim until the other person gives up. Babita will ruin HS relationship with NB too by giving her one sided story.

The onus does at times fall on Babita to show just how much does she love him. Today's song dedication, Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na, goes to show just how much. She may not be adept at expressing her love and she may lash out at him for small things, but the truth of the fact is that she harbors a lot of love for him, or at least has the potential to do so.
