He isn't convincing anyone....least of all himself....but he's still determinedly trying to keep his head buried in the sand.

The "make me proud" dialogue was bittersweet....even more bittersweet was him asking her right after that if she ate anything......it's these little things that still keep me hanging to this bond, to this show......these moments of nuance wherein you can see something moving under the surface....a struggle of wanting to reach out but not knowing how....then retreating again.

We hardly are getting any progress on the HS-Mini front aajkal but I I will take these bittersweet scenes anyday over him outrightly ignoring her...which he was doing a bit in the last few days all over obsessed with Babita.

@bold I felt a pang in my heart seeing this scene, what have they become? Maybe he wants to reach out to her and give her a warm smile, some gyaan and what not but he is not able to bridge the distance 😒...similarly Mini, maybe she wants to smile with him, give him a hug and say that she will do her best in the exam, not to worry but she can't too, can't wait for the day these distances would be completely wiped away

LOL yeah, rewatching old epis always gives a hope ki the writers who wrote things with so much intent and detail before....those writers can't suddenly lose their minds totally....there has to be a plan....some larger intent na?

So this scene did make me think that it's possible the writers are setting them all up for a big hard slap from life again to get them out of this comfort zone of just trying to ignore the issues in their life and chugging along.....aise nahin chalegi zindagi. They all need a hard slap from life now....not just Babita....even HS needs it for this zone he's fallen in of ignoring obvious issues just to "keep peace".

Btw the other hilarious bit in this scene was HS giving the example of how films mein heroines dance lachak lachak ke, waise hi life bhi humein alag alag rang dikhaati hai lachak ke🤣

Yes! His examples are always hilarious but also easy to understand.
