Ironically, she was better at partnering with HS to tackle Mini before the shaadi happened....cuz tab it was gradual, organic....she turned to him naturally rather than under some label ki you are the father so now you do this.

You can see the issues right in front of your eyes but you are deliberately brushing them under the carpet and not dealing with them.

You can also sense that something is off with Mini but you are too scared to address it....so even when Babita tries to pick up on it, you tell her not to think either.....cuz ek Babita hi mushkil se handle ho rahi hai, toh Mini kahaan se handle karoge abhi😆

To be fair, I get your fears cuz jab Babita "sochne" lag jaati hai toh she gets ultra hyper and then there's more issues to manage.....lol but even then.....brushing things under the carpet is not the solution.

The "make me proud" moment between HS and Mini.....brief tha...but I liked the undercurrents there....He sees everything but doesn't want to dwell on it......still too scared.

Ok, so I wasn't imagining those undercurrents. He did notice something was off.

The "make me proud" dialogue made me sad.

And now his fear is starting to show. He didn't sound convincing to me or to himself as he was trying to convince Babita on the balcony that everything was ok.

I agree, he should get his confidence back. What the heck?

Babita ko fursat kahaan milti hai from dealing with her own issues to manage to tell anyone about Mini's b'day....lol badi mushkil se toh woh pati ke sukh bhogne lagi thi😆....is sab mein Mini ka kahaan se sochti? 😆

Waise bhi it seems she is used to planning and prepping for Mini's b'day on her own since so many years.....so it wouldn't naturally occur to her to involve HS for the b'day....aadat nahin hai to share all things with him yet.

Bas bolne ko she wanted him to be a father but she herself doesn't know how to make space for him properly between herself and Mini.

Yes, he was amazingly perceptive about Mini once.....I would say he still is in many ways but now he's choosing to not think, not act on his gut instinct when it comes to Mini.

Waise they were all talking so much about Mini's exams today....lol I will still be shocked if Mini passes these exams after all the mess their lives have been through since the shaadi😆

I liked how he stopped Babita from calling Minnie for safety reasons. It made me laugh but the thing is, now that he knows it's her birthday what will he do? Get her a present, wish her warmly? Or just stand back and watch maa-beti celebrate. The way Minnie was talking to her grandparents about how HS had made them all laugh, I could feel the pangs in her voice. She misses him, poor kid.

LOL any HS-Mini fan would notice those undercurrents...so it definitely wasn't just you.

He isn't convincing anyone....least of all himself....but he's still determinedly trying to keep his head buried in the sand.

The "make me proud" dialogue was bittersweet....even more bittersweet was him asking her right after that if she ate anything......it's these little things that still keep me hanging to this bond, to this show......these moments of nuance wherein you can see something moving under the surface....a struggle of wanting to reach out but not knowing how....then retreating again.

We hardly are getting any progress on the HS-Mini front aajkal but I I will take these bittersweet scenes anyday over him outrightly ignoring her...which he was doing a bit in the last few days all over obsessed with Babita.

I doubt it.....that Chachi will enter right after her exams end I guess and then it will all switch gears into saas-bahu drama. Dunno if there will be any direct scope for HS-Mini in that track.....more likely the Chachi will constantly be judging Babita as a bahu and wohi drama chalega.

Maybe HS-Mini will continue to get these one off angsty scenes....bas itna hi😕....koi long term strategy dikh nahin rahi....lol
