The same issue is raised by some people recently when bhumi pednekar is painted dusky brown for her role in the movie BALA. tikde pan hich complaint ahe ki je lok already dark ahet tyana ghya na. Gorya i mean fair complexion aslelya lokana gheta ani nantar tyana kala karat basta.

Kititari talented aani hardworking artists aahet, mag goryaala kala ka kara. Young la old pan kele aahe in 'Saand ki ankh'. Why? There are many middle aged actresses who could have easily fit the role.

I think reason is that some of the older actress rejects roles of their age. N about hirkani i dont know if the character is supoosed to be light skinned but tanned living in rural. Sometimes the more apt actress rejects those roles n they end up wt other actress maybe budget is a problem. I think madhuri dixit had refused to play sonams mom in adaptation of freaky friday.

no, budget is not d problem,problem in marathi industry is unfortunately less salable faces on big scren

almost all others rather choose small screen or web series or plays.and if small tv is chosen,due to overexposure and time ,many directors and producers r not ready to take them.moreover sorry to say,bt maby of d marathi actresses except few, r not fittness freak,there r very few,some have specific images due to their small screen hits like janhavi,isha,meghana ,all goody goody bahus and heroins which producersmay find it difficult to cast them in such noncoventional roles.

i guess this can b d reason and offcourse cant forget favourism,groupism r d main issues as prasad oak is d director.had it been sanjay jadhav,sai tamhankar would have been d heroine.
