Prerna marrying naveen: She didn't trust her family with the truth nor anyone. She shouldered a burden that wasn't just her's but her family. The result is that she almost married a criminal who sells woman. Also mohini blackmailed her which no one knew.

Basu marrying komolika: Soulmates claim to love one another so much that they have no trust. Basu insulted prerna publicly in front of his family and strangers because he didn't trust her with the truth. He wanted her to move on by lying. Prerna instantly believed Basu left her and cheated her. She came back with hatred and revenge. During that entire track both soulmates were lying to the other but in between had lollipop scenes which made no sense whatsoever.

Prerna marrying bajaj: Basu immediately believe prerna cheated him. Prerna told him she left him for money and power and what he does? Took over bajaj house out of impulsiveness. He planned a accident thinking the prerna he loved was gone so to bring her back he would harm himself to get attention and care.

She is his idea of fulfilment- a family- a pleasure he was devoid of his whole life. He never had a family of his own and now he has one. This petite woman with a heart of gold and a mind of a fool. Aren’t men programmed that way? The knight in shining armours pitched against the naïveté Good Samaritan!

She is like him. Strong willed! She is different SELFLESS pitched against Selfish.
opposites attract and similarities bond.
He is both bonded with familiarity of strength and attracted to the strange level of selflessness.
She gives, he possesses!
She loves, he craves!

Oh, that tear wiping scene, I watched it again. He is patient but his desires to control and get her live are getting impatient day by day! Patience is his virtue and impatience is burning him. He touched her tears with his heat of authority and was dampened by her coldness. Her eyes talk, she raises them subtly, widely and in a state of acceptance yet stoical non-emotion.
He just did that!!!!! She is aghast but too tired to respond or fight.
Rishabh doesn’t reach her emotionally or even with hatred. There is no strong emotion of Prerna being associated with Rishabh. She coexists with him.
Any strong emotion is only unleashed in context to Basu.

Something has to happen to bring her out of this inertia of coexistence with Rishabh! Either she snaps out of love or she sees the duality of Bajaj’s darkness. She has to come out of this neutral coexistence phase!

She has to be de-zoned ASAP!

This makes a lot of sense now. Like I said am clueless about what happened during Naveen/Komo or even RB-P marriage and was just focusing on current events. But it seems they have a long history of not trusting each other.
