It looks like the cast may be on board with the theme but the failure to execute the tracks properly has resulted in a disconnect. Otherwise, we were always able to understand complex themes on this show because of the wonderful screenplay and nuanced portrayal.

I guess he doesn't really have any say in it. But his conviction in RS's writing is what I am kinda iffy about, esp. of late with how she has mainly just focused on Mini and not the other two characters.

Complex and nuanced portrayal and all I get it, but convincing bhi toh hona chahiye. How do they show Mini OTT sensible and mature and mahaan? I can't digest this, I am sorry 🤪.

What happened to Babita's basic character traits, loving, caring, etc.? Also, what about HS's sensibility and mature thought process? Sab gaye bhad mein to glorify Mini? Sorry I am not convinced with Mini's sorrow.. I am not convinced that her mother doesn't care about her after her marriage... I am not convinced that her more than a father "step-father" suddenly doesn't think about her anymore 🤪

I don't think they're really in a position to complain about the characters. Just look at what happened to Hunar. She said she didn't want to play a motherly role, aur usse show se bahar hi nikal diya. 😆

Besides, the actors are doing a wonderful job regardless of the material they are getting. There's no complaints in that department. It's the writing and execution that's failing. There's nothing wrong with the actors.

And let's not forget, all said and done, this show is still way better than what's out there.

It's also their job at the end of the day. They won't just quit over a few not-so-good days at the office.

Also, they are type to stick with each other even when things are down.

Anirudh won't quit.. He is a true professional.... Plus as said this show gave him much more popularity than any other show earlier.... And also he knows the audiences feedbacks on daily basis...

As I said, the theme itself might be ok but the execution is totally messed up. Perhaps the team is looking at it in a certain way but it's not getting through to us. That's what I've been feeling since reading Sandhyaji's comment.

Aniruddh was always full of praise for the content-driven nature of the show and clearly he is still convinced about it.

At the end of the day, whatever scenes he gets, he puts 200%. This show gave him the chance to portray a wide range of emotions, and the role itself is new and different for him. He's gaining experience that will help him a lot in future projects.

I think makers wanted to show how children are affected by parent's 2nd marriage and I totally get the concept.... but this was not any normal kind of 2nd marriage. This was different. HS and Mini's bond is different. The execution of all this is just bad.

I am totally fine with them showing the three characters struggling to find balance or making mistakes, especially HS, but the way they are showing conflicts feels contrived rather than natural. Which is surprising considering how well the CVs have managed to set up and work through conflicts.
