Today was problematic to a different level. Precap just made it worse.

His comments today pitched Hanita as a team against Minnie on the other side. In an ideal family there would be point to point association between every member. HS has lost the link with Minnie. And using Minnie as a whipping boy out of frustrations over his convo with babita is so ugggh. And the expression on Minnie's face when HS came to call her - that of eager expectation that HS might be willing to listen to her side of the story was heart breaking

I guess it is kind of inevitable that Minnie would be saying "you are not my father' to HS at some time in the future

Earlier, HS was actually understanding of Minnie's side that she would've been angry because Babes slapped her. That she wouldn't pick up anyone's call, etc.

What changed is that Babes hit a raw nerve with the father conversation. Then he stormed off and all his day's frustrations just mounted and finally it all came out on Minnie.

Based on the look on his face in the police station, I also think he wanted to prove a point to Babita that things did not work in the way she would want so that perhaps next time she would let him deal with it in his own way, which is much more suitable for Minnie.

Yup, but it doesn't make what he said to her any okay. Based on half truths, he's threatening to kick her out. He didn't even bother to ask her side of what happened. It's the same thing as the CD. He saw one thing and then immediately jumped on her without giving her the benefit of the doubt.

I have been expecting this "you are not my father" line for a while now. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

I also think with the whole surviving/learning to deal with it, she will also become a bit less sensitive to these fluctuations.

In a way, HS did come between mother and daughter, or perhaps they made him come between them. Dunno.

@bold: At this point, I won't even blame her. If you can't be bothered to know the entire story, you don't deserve the right to scold her either. There's always two sides to every story and he should've been willing to hear hers.

Even with Babita and what all she said in the mix, he shouldn't have vented all of that out on Minnie. It's absolutely unfair. This HS 2.0 (after CD incident HS) is not worthy of being a parent to Minnie.

Yes.. like she is some street waif or orphan that he is doing her a favor that he unwillingly allowed her to live in his haveli. I would expect Ashok to say 'THis is my house.. you are living on my pittance'. But this??

Wrong timing on his part either way. He's been more than oblivious to Minnie's pain since the wedding. This will come back to bite him in the tush.

Don't push your luck so much to prove a point that there might not be a next time.

dont know what to say but that was so cheap from babita. instigating HS against mini . Does she really think she is giving a father to mini that way
