Vaani completely miscalculated her career. She was actually pretty good in Shuddh Desi Romance, I thought she was better than Parineeti and she had good chemistry with Sushant. Then she got into a bad deal with YashRaj who have stalled her career by making her sign only YRF movies. Dumb ass move. Aditya Chopra tried to get Shraddha into that trap but she wisely backed out, otherwise she would have been nowhere too.

Whatever Vaani's personal equation with Aditya Chopra is, he's definitely not benefited her career, giving her only glampot roles with no substance plus he's given her bad advice i.e. plastic surgery that has taken away her natural freshness. Moral of the story - getting a (alleged) sugar daddy doesn't always work out folks.

Vaani will need lot more than a cameo role to be future of Bollywood 🤣

Vaani's case reminds me of the actress from the movie Luck By Chance where the actress keeps appeasing a director in hope of a big break which she never gets....Now I am not saying Vaani was appeasing Aditya or whatever but definitely this YRF deal has duboed Vaani the actress! 😵

EDIT: Also I have seen a lot of 10 minute cameos making a mark for themselves and becoming memorable forever but here either the director didn't focus on Naina's character properly or Vaani just genuinely lacks that appeal, her role was pretty forgettable in the end! Too bad for the actress who waited for 3 years for a 10 minute cameo and is being dragged to every promotional event...

@cricketfan1 Piggybacking on your post, for some reason I was not even impressed with her few seconds of solo performance in the Ghungroo song... even though she is an amazing dancer. To me, she lacks that x-factor, screen presence, or whatever it requires to leave a lasting impression. Nothing different off-screen either. Watching her promotional interviews were awfully yawn inducing.

Also Vaani's face is distracting in the big screen. Sorry 😐.

Unfortunately after Shudh Desi Romance, when she did her plastic surgery I don't know what switch flipped in my brain. She became completely unattractive, and I don't really care for her movies any more. I still think she has a dignified presence and not a jerk, lekin heroine material she is no more. At least pour moi (for me).
