Oh haha LOL yeah now she's the one who has the CD with her na after those decoration waale returned it? I wonder if she saved it again somewhere in her closet🤣....too hilarious that would be.....imagine HS ki reaction on finding it🤣

I do think this will come up again for sure especially based on how Babita has been talking about Ashok off late.....unresolved issues hain.....and I do think it bugs HS somewhere as well that she keeps bringing up Ashok b/w them....instead of focusing on the future, she's hung up on her past despite all the abuse Ashok put her through. HS hoga is baat pe bhi frustrated at some point....mainly cuz he can't stand Ashok for what he did to to Babita....I think he feels more hurt on her behalf than she seems to for herself aajkal😆

@bold exactly. I remember how frustrated he was that she had asked to have Ashok released despite how much he had troubled mother-daughter.

His line the other day

Manne laga aap aadmi aadmi mein farq karna jaanti ho

(or something similar) just pierced my heart. It must be insulting as well for him to feel compared to Ashok. I also think the fact that he found out Ashok had indeed loved her, contrary to his previous understanding of the situation, shook him but he also decided to get her to focus on the future and not waste her energy on trying to analyze the past.

LOL yes, I was saying the same thing some pages back in response to one of your posts as well....same line stuck out to me as well😆

Ashok doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as HS.....he never did and never will deserve Mini.

This reminds me.....HS in that scene with Babita on Wednesday said to her at one point, "Manne lagaa ki aap aadmi aadmi mein pharak karna jaante ho".....I loved that line....the little hurt and reproach in it....that you actually compared me to Ashok? You thought I would do the same as Ashok and leave you?...Even after all this time, you couldn't see the differences between me and him? But he didn't dwell on it and moved on to his next point.....still, I'm glad he expressed it....softly and pyar se hi sahi....gusse mein nahin bola.

It's an under-rated line from that scene cuz there were so many other amazing lines he had there....but I feel this one is an important one and foreshadowing what's coming our way......

We had all expected that it would be about HS having to reconcile his love for Imarti with his love for Babita....but now it seems more likely that Babita still has to reconcile her past with her future....the fact that she saved the wedding CD, the fact that she still brings up Ashok as a comparison point from time to time.....this means that this needs to be worked through between her and HS....it all has to tie back to why she wanted to marry HS....unresolved question.

You're right....he (as well as us, the audience) looked taken aback by Babita stating that Ashok had been loving towards her initially....lol woh baat aur hai ki both HS and us are quite convinced ki Babita ko pata hi nahin love kya hota hai that she thinks Ashok loved her😆

I was annoyed by this two days back only when I said I'm not being able to appreciate the HB scenes because they've basically shown that HS was more caught up in honeymoon frustration than being able to deal with Mini.....lol....but everyone else was enjoying the HB scenes then and his blushing over honeymoon😆.....where was the time to introspect about Mini when he was dealing with Babita and trying to figure out ki honeymoon hoga ki nahin?😆.....Adult problems😆

Us sab mein child neglect ho gaya....that is what they wanted to show.....ab maaf bhi kar do HS ko....he never had to directly deal with such a situation before....lol

After thinking about it a bit, I wouldn't say it went against everything his character stood for....not saying the execution wasn't lacking....it definitely was....I'm no fan of the dragged out tamasha this shaadi and the aftermath has been either....but HS's character hasn't gone off the rails *touchwood*....he faltered and lost his balance....but ultimately sambhaal liya.

Some slack also has to be cut for the fact that he was distracted by the aftermath of the shaadi.....or he would have introspected earlier I think.

I don't think he went about life as if nothing happened...but yeah, he did get distracted trying to honeymoon😆.....that is what was annoying me last few days....now I'm over it.....lol

The point remains....neither him or Babita were ready for this marriage....and because they weren't ready, they mishandled the beginning of their marriage and it left an impact on their child....agar Babita capable hoti toh she would have sambhaaloed the situation rather than making it worse for everyone.....and it left a downstream impact on all ends. HS akela nahin sambhaal paaya sab until he managed to stabilize Babita.

The writers messed things up so much that aisi koi situation hi nahin rahi for HS-Mini to talk alag se in the days after the wedding....Babita ka mess was front and center....aur koi baat hi kya karta koi aur koi sochta bhi kya....and it had only been half a day since his issue with Babita got resolved.....HS did come in and ask for Mini the first thing when he came home.....aisa nahin tha that he was still only caught up in Babita.....he did think about Mini....but yes, dekh ke andekha ho gaya cuz his mind had stopped working in that time.

We all expect a lot from HS....not without cause....but I'm also willing to forgive him for this because he did ultimately realize.....that is all I wanted.

And humaare bolne se kaunsa writers yeh faltu TRP gimmicks karna band kar denge.....lol but at the end of the day, the show still draws me back.

Well, now that I think about it, it has only been a couple of days since the wedding but for some reason it seemed so much longer, and the divide between them seemed so glaringly obvious. Then again, we as the audience see things the characters themselves don't. I also take heart when I remember that on a couple of occasions HS had sincerely said he couldn't handle both mother and daughter together if they were having issues at the same time. Perhaps this was a manifestation of it.

Usually he's had to deal with one or other, not both. Babita's was out there in front of him so he focused on that first. There was also a major difference this time. In the past, most of the problems he helped those two solve were unrelated to him, so he was able to keep that objective perspective. This time, it involved him directly and how! On top of that his own feelings were tangled in and I think he just found it a bit too much. Ok, ok I will cut him some slack.

I am not blaming HS per se. He realized, he apologized. There's more to be sorted out and for them to explore the fears and his lowered self-confidence a lot more, but I guess you're right, I will chalk it up to problems with the writing. If we can accept the characters with their flaws, then we can extend the same courtesy to our writers, who are still leagues ahead in general.

Also, when I think about, he's so far been relatively stable and has acted as somewhat of a moral compass (which is probably why we expect so much from him) so I'll chalk this one up to him being human after all and making mistakes. He's shown that he is applying his own forward spiral philosophy hear and hopefully he has learned something out of this that he won't repeat and will watch out for next time.

Just look at Aniruddh in this bit. It looks like he's crying for real. So impressive.

Aniruddh is beyond amazing in the whole scene.....it definitely seemed like him and Ashnoor were both crying for real....itna naturally they acted....and look at him in this bit too....man, the love with which HS looks at Mini is something else

And the smile gesture bit just unravels me each time I watch it.....there were both phenomenal in this bit....the way Mini struggles but still smiles through her tears to respond to his gesture

Yes, I also saw that as foreshadowing. There's not one but several mann ke gaanth of Babita's that need to be acknowledged and unraveled at some point. They won't have a happy marriage otherwise.

I really don't want them to bring up Imarti just yet. We had a bit of here for a few days and all hell broke lose, which showed that Babita wasn't ready to handle him in that state and neither was he able to cope. He decided to put a lid on it and even stopped her when she mentioned Imarti. He knows Babita's not ready to be his humsafar at that stage. I just hope she doesn't take tooooooooo long because he will end up feeling lonely again.

@bold true, but the fact is that Babita does, and until she is convinced otherwise or learns to accept it and move on, it will bother her and all those around her.

I know, right? Aniruddh isn't a parent in real life, but the way he portrays those emotions of a father is just something else. I am so in awe of his caliber as a performer. He really makes you believe that this Haryanvi widower cop became Minnie's hero and father figure over time and managed to break through her defenses, even if HS himself had no kids of his own.

The smile gesture was special to me for two reasons. One, she mirrored his for the first time and it was a great throwback to the audio confrontation and hospital scene. Two, when Minnie made this gesture, even through her tears her smile finally reached her eyes, something which had been missing for a while. It also symbolized the fact that no matter who else she has in her life, he was the reason for her smiles, has been since she met him, and always will be.

PS aap ke gifs aur screenshots manne rula rahe hein, par kati jordar hein yo.

@bold: This.....that was the crucial difference....the past problems he helped solve never involved him directly to this level....but this time he was right in the thick of it and Babita was a hell of a tangle to deal with.....so I can't even blame him....if I was in his place, I would have just run away screaming😆.....yeh toh phir bhi khadaa raha.....lol.....he definitely got overwhelmed trying to manage the Babita situation and that is why couldn't handle the Mini issue simultaneously cuz that was also super complicated emotionally.

And yes, for what the situation was, he still ultimately managed to get his bearings and emerge from it.....we do expect a lot from him as he's been the strong and mature one in many situations....but at the same time, somewhere, even this human failing hasn't brought him down in my eyes....I felt disappointed for a bit....but I do feel he's learnt some things from this and will move forward.

Unlike with Babita, one can count on HS to learn some lessons from what happens with him😆....*touchwood*.....baaki toh he's a super emotional guy....and emotions do trip you up from time to time....koi baat nahin....hum samajhte hain😆

Baaki toh yes, the writers are trying to leave room to explore more things....they also tripped up a bit in this track but overall they are still leagues ahead of other TV trash so we stick around....lol

I can't even imagine another show on TV right now making me think this much about the scenes and the characters.....

I loved her acting in this scene, the way she communicated her frustration, anger, hurt, confusion, and also despair just with her eyes, in response to the tears and remorse she could see in his eyes. She was struggling to remain stoic as he broke through her defenses just like that.

Being in the same frame at him and performing at this level is no mean feat. I think she has a bright future.

I don't blame you for watching this scene over and over. It's a masterclass in acting.

Yes, they definitely have to solve several of Babita ke mann ki gaanthein for this to be a happy marriage.....long way to go....abhi toh ek initial hi gaanth khuli hai.....lol

And yes, Babita is no state yet to actually be his humsafar in the true sense....he can't share his emotions for Imarti or his mom fully with her yet cuz she's still so much in her own head.....

But somehow, despite everything, his heart has chosen Babita only....he sees something in her that even she doesn't at this stage....and that is the Babita he will wait for no matter what I think.....he's committed to being her humsafar until whenever she manages to rise up to the same level as him in this marriage.....equal partners.

I think he did take a first pass at explaining to her that she never really understood love cuz she didn't understand haq in love.....now he will have to build on that with time to help her understand and resolve her perception of the past. Work in progress hain Babita ji.....lol

I can't even imagine another show on TV right now making me think this much about the scenes and the characters.....

This time he took Babita's behavior and words really hard and I think it just added on to all the things he's been feeling since the jhumka scene, the whole flirting scene, the wedding outburst, her running away on the night of the wedding after giving him an ultimatum, etc.

Run away screaming? He can't, but he did the whole haath jode thing and stormed out. I felt as if he had also vented on my behalf! LOL!

I also don't love him any less because he faltered, and maybe it's even a good thing for this to have happened right at the beginning so that he can be conscious of it and handle things with care in future, especially if/when Minnie has a breakdown. I guess the CVs are going to throw more such incidents at us where his abilities as a parent will qualify and his love as a father will be heavily tested.

You're right, no other show right now makes me think this deeply about the characters, story, and just philosophy in life. The last time this happened was with Punar Vivaah which was a brilliant show and way ahead of its times even then. Both leads were flawed and did some pretty "unconventional" things but the emotions explored were brilliant.
