Stupidest Line Ever

I religiously still watch the precaps hoping that one day the series will start making sense again.... and I heard what I think is the stupidest sentence that has ever been written by the writers. Bajaj telling the Sharmas - I should have come and asked for prerna’s hand in marriage to you, I know.

Ermmm wondering how that scene would have worked .....

Oh, sure but I’ve noticed on the street that your daughter Prerna gets on with my daughter Kuki. Could I please marry her instead of Anurag. Anurag is in jail, for a non-bailable offence that I know he didn’t commit, so why don’t we just ignore him and get her married to me so that my daughter can get a mother. What! Still no. Fine, if that’s how you want to play it then I’ll make sure the guy she loves and you want her to marry ends up getting the death sentence or life imprisonment for the crime I know he didn’t commit... then will you get her married to me? Oh hi, Prerna. I know you don’t know me other than hearing about me try to ruin the Basu business but I’ve seen you with my daughter. Just talking to your mom here about us getting married. What do you mean you love anurag, I don’t care, my love for my daughter matters more. What do you mean you are pregnant? I don’t care my daughter matters more, marry me or anurag goes to prison for ever. Come on auntyji tell her. What do you mean don’t call you auntyji? Don’t worry I’ll dye my hair after we get married so that I look younger. Coming to your post, it's bang on. They're just trying to normalize the whole situation and not giving a proper redemption arc to anyone. Mostly, Prerna has becoming the punching bag... I guess we should never try to find logic in EK's shows... 😆

Agreed 😆 the audacity of the writers 🤪 he could have plainly said our shadi happened in whatever circumstances were not good blah blah blah 😆 that time he was so desperate to marry prerna the next day itself. Now he sounding like it was just a normal situation

lmaooooo. This is not how you build a redemption arc... this is now how a character tries to right his wrongs, this is not how you become the "bigger person".

And if u watch only precaps that u shld know. Judgements can never be made on that. I learned it here only😆

He is being understandable here. And ideal marriage wld always be one of a consent.

Now that all hate has gone out of window between basus and Sharmas. He is trying to start some good conversation. They might have started on a wrong note but now he is trying to tick all the right boxes😎.
