Yeah, because those shows don't have a strong script so this is the highlight of the show, after which everything goes downhill, people separate, lose their memories, have hamshakals, etc.

Here, it's shown as just another normal part of a married couple's life. Big deal, move on. There are other much more interesting human conflicts to show in a layered manner.

So makers didn’t try to justify Ashok. It was only to highlight why Babita had these fears all this time. She constantly feared if Ashok can ditch her after loving her and them having a child together then why would HS love her all their life.

She said she lost all her self confidence in last one year. She just doesn’t have that trust in herself that someone can love and want her all life long.

Watch it yar. Dialogues today all made sense. One of the best PB episode. One that you go back and repeat watch.

The look HS gave her when she told him she thought if they consummated he would lose interest in her, and then told her she didn't know what love was about.

Well, show her dude! 😃

The most important thing in that conversation was that the only truth she had to deal with was that it didn't matter what Ashok did or why. It was in the past and not worth wasting her time or life on. She has to look forward and not lose out on her present.

Also loved how he cleared her doubts and started off on the right foot by saying that she had all the rights on him, he made it explicitly clear.

How can you not fall in love with HS all over again after those dialogues? and AD's voice modulation today was something else.

True true. Even after Ashok said all that he did to her in court, he did have introspection where he cries in front of Meeta that how did he stoop so low.

Hanuman’s words comes to mind. When Lala said what kind of jaanwar Ashok was, HS said all men are jaanwar. We become jaanwar when our Ego is hurt.

And today keeping it consistent with their portrayal of characters, writers closed that loop too. That Ashok wasn’t evil to start with. He had good qualities but it just that Ashok and Babes weren’t meant to be. Ashok did not have courage to accept that what he did was wrong. When he came with Meeta the rejection and humiliation they got, he couldn’t take it and so he became what he did. That’s how I always inferred him.

Great looping of everything so far. Writers 🥳
