The fact of the matter is A and P relationship doesn't survive because there is distrust, dishonesty, misunderstandings, deceit and arguments. Neither trusts the other. When A married komo P immediately believed that A betrayed her. Even though A did everything he could to humiliate her she came back for revenge. A believes the same about P.

That's why the writers showed very well how prerish is different and is the ideal couple to last. Bajaj trusts P with all his heart. All those scenes of A with P bajaj never once suspected her. He knows she won't cross her limit. Bajaj doesn't throw accusations on another person the way A does. He doesn't make assumptions based on nothing. He waits until he is sure. Bajaj doesn't make no one and I'm sure if he has his own family insult his wife. He puts them in their place. A constantly let's his mom hatred for P to slide that's why mohini still is the same and doesn't change. Bajaj comes clean to P and doesn't hide anything the way that A and P does with one another.

P has yet to return all of this to bajaj. The trust, respect, gratitude. This could only be done with another misunderstanding between A and P and A plotting to get rid of bajaj which P overheard in the precap him saying. The whole story is the two of them not uniting but living for one another. P can't do this if A is shown as a god and there isn't another misunderstanding.
