No they can't, they need shock value. RKR has only one solo hit in all his life, that too he wasn't the biggest star(Shraddha was) of the movie.

Ayushmann still struggles to give a double digit opening. Aamir may have given TOH, but let's not forget it opened at 50crores, same with Sallu giving huge openings.

People during those times, went to see their favorite actors and actresses, they saw names in the posters, and than went.

Ayushmann and RKR are what Amol Palekar and so on were during those times, not really blockbuster materials. During those times also Ashok Kumar, Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, Rajendra Kumar and so on, were the stars giving huge hits.

This post is not about opening. When the last time Salman had good wom? No real people other than his usual stans will go to theater. He has that starpower but that's about it.

If the movie is there and Ayushmann or RKR star in it, people will certainly go.

Yeah. The Marvel movies. I know they do tireless promotional stuff but even without that everyone would have gone for Endgame.But if no promotions mean not even the date of release known,then problem hain 😆

Ya not just the opening that is essentiallly only celeb star power dependent..but overall question meant.. can a movie become hit just by WOM post release.
