Haha I see 😂. She and her brother seem really close. I have followed her since I saw The Way song back in 2013 and started her following her music since then(I became a fan when Love Me Harder was released). People only recognized her due to her Nicklodeon show at that time, It's pretty amazing how popular she has become since then.

So was she like fair colour on the show.. what's this chaska of brown tan look. 🤔 She looks hot in original look... I thought ponymo phirki le rahi hai so I googled and in one photograph from side by side song her skin tone is almost like Nicki Minaj

She had a mild tan on her earlier days but definitely not the kind of tan she has now.

Tanning is completely different from blackface/brownface. It is not a new trend either. People in the west have sought tans for decades. Great tans have always been symbolic of beauty and sex appeal. Not all skins types tan well. Many people turn orange or red in attempts to tan. Some people's spray-on tans can be ridiculously fake.

My younger sister goes through very dramatic skin tone changes naturally. In winter she is extremely pale, almost white. In summer when she plays frisbee she gets a very deep dark tan. On the other hand, I just go from toast to filter coffee and back. So I never questioned Ariana's tan. I assumed she has a wide range of skin tone like my sister. After all she's not white white. She's Sicilian by descent and Sicilians can get pretty tan. But considering how consistently pale she was during her Disney days, maybe she is investing in tanning.

I don't know if Ariana Grande's tan is natural (sun exposure) or fake (spray-on, tanning bed). But what I do know is that it suits her. She looks great in it.

Maybe, It's a strategy to pass off as brown girl. It's entertainment industry and In order to go further & a bit different unique, you have to be like keep changing your hairstyle, dress and maybe these days, skin tone too.

She gets called out in Reddit, Twitter and other online communities for Black appropriation but not to the extent Trudeau is getting called out. People are less harsh on Ariana due to the traumatic events she faced in recent times like Manchester bombing and death of Mac Miller(who was her ex boyfriend). Also, she had breakdowns in her concerts too ☹️. Most are concerned for her mental wellbeing at this point.

Didn't some people claim Katrina tans herself to look more Indian? Also, isnt funny how some indian actresses go for whitening? 😔 Is that considered racist?
