Mini has her equation with Hanuman. Even without Babita in picture, they bond like Father and Daughter. Surely Hanuman is much closer to her than Khuranas. He has been her rock solid support. Much more than Khuranas.

She made him like.. he is my mother’s to be husband and nothing else. She literally downplayed their individual equation.

This is what broke him. As it is he has always been insecure about his position in her life, and today he he felt as if she showed him her place. Even after marrying her mother he cannot have his daughter in his life. Even if he knows she had nothing to do with the CD, he also realized that she doesn't think of him as a father.
