Learnt the social conditioning the hard way .. Its just unfortunate !!

Exactly, my family's educated and amazing yet, bahu shall always remain one. She cannot ever be the daughter. There is no problem as such but the divide is felt all the time and there's no warmth or love, much to feel or see.

Lol. Yes there will be triangle with the trio. Yes Preeti has been brainwashed with the idea that 18 or so is the age to Marry and yes she is dreaming of it with Mickey. Why they showed Mickey like that is stupid because his Father was going to get him married a few Months back. Yes thats the mindset with some Families.

Mini was teasing Preeti about it and yes not getting good vibes here.

Why are they saying that Mickey understands but he is looking in the context of a girl and his future with her which is not good. Has he has no idea of a mother and daughter relationships at all. Or family relationship at all.

17 years of a Babes looking after Mini is dismissed as her not knowing her Mini is very sad.

Too compare the two is silly and stupid.

And there are other ways of disciplining children without hitting. we then basically then teach them its ok to hit others too when we hit them.

I think it depends on the age and relationship with child. Slapping is no harm, but the child should take it positively.

Traditional Indian upbringing includes chadi ki maar and such stuff but what's important is how the child takes it. Some people are okay being hit by parents but some are too sensitive. You gotta identify that and act accordingly.

I get that HS doesn’t understand Minnie fully yet. He understand her to the level that she lets him see. I have been the one to point this out. He has a long way to go but he will get there eventually.

I also completely get that Mickey might understand or see through Minnie better than Babita at times. Sometimes your peers, friends, people your age can understand you more than your parents can. I have experienced that myself with my parents. It’s the generation gap. But, to completely undermine Babita’s role as a mother and to say that Babita doesn’t understand Mini or that she never has, I don’t agree with that. If they were trying to show us this all along, I am sorry but they felt to put that message across. What was Babita doing those 17 years when Mini was growing up then? It’s not like she had a husband she was busy attending, which made her neglect Mini, like writers said “she will be self-indulgent” with her new husband now. I am sorry I don’t understand this narrative 😕

And a 17 year old is so mature and sensible that she understands her mother completely. But a mother who birthed that child doesn’t understand her at all. Okayyy 🙄.

I don't get this at all.

Babita wanting to pay attention to HS or have the married life that she never has is her being self indulgent? Why her wants and desires being trivialized like this? It's really upsetting and make me want to cry. Why is her motherly status being trumped over everything?

And to diminish everything she has done in the past 17 years, just to what? Make Minnie the victim? Agar Minnie ke paas baap hi ni tha toh koyi gi kya??

HS is her father. They've addressed this so many times and have even referred to each other as baap-beti. But to question this entire rishta and the love they shared for each other is unbelievable.

I really don't like how they're diminishing everything that Hanita have done thus far for her. We knew there were going to be adjustment problems but I didn't expect them to be explored this way.

I think any person that age will have the reaction Mickey had. Who'll think directly to marriage at 18? It was cute in a way to see her dreaming, teenage love and all, but direct shaadi?

It's sad. Even as a teenager dream, why shaadi? There's so much to explore in the relationship (emotional and psychological aspects) otherwise too.

Let's just ignore the goddamn tweets. I wanna see this happening for real, only then will I believe it. As far as the story is concerned, I don't seeing it going that way at all. Unless well, they turn for the worse into this.

I thought everything shall run parallel. But ugh. Okay let's wait.

I saw Mickey's face, he was like what? Didn't even smile lol. And Mini toh chidhaane mein kitni busy thi. I don't think this is like a triangle. They'll remain true friends throughout their lives with both having different partners.

i was going to say that. mickey wasnt happy. maybe he is not into preet yet or maybe not over mini yet. mini was teasing preet so no development of romantic feelings from her side.

maybe while understanding mini mickey needs to introspect about himself regarding preet also. does he really like her love her. the girl is already thinking about marriage. if he is not really into her he should be honest & break off

I honestly don't like Preet. Everything about her revolves around shaadi. Uske ilaava kya chahti hai yeh ladki?? Do we even know what she's studying or what her interests are outside of boys?

When they said that Minnie comes first and that they're willing to call it off for her, it kinda gave me that vibe. I understand that for her sake, they're willing to put their love on hold. It's admirable in a way, but they didn't show any hurt feelings for their own sake. I don't know if I'm making any sense but it's like their individual feelings are being suppressed for Minnie.

But now it's like, if they even dare to think about their personal desires phir toh sab ki tabaahi aa gayi. 🤔

This actually makes me sad and not want to get married at all. Which is a really upsetting idea on its own because I want someone who will understand me and my best friend for life in the true sense of that word. But to constantly live with the idea that you will always be an outsider for someone no matter what you do for them... I don't know if I can live with that.
