Why people hate Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna?

I don't understand the hate or criticism for this film. Are people just offended by the idea of extra-marital affair or the way it was executed? I don't think it glorified extra-marital affair. Raj and Maya stayed away from each other for 3 years, that was their punishment for breaking each other's home. Now what do you guys want? Them suffering from for their lifetime? Just because they didn't get compatible partners for the first time.

Did not like the characters of Dev and Maya, both were not truthful or sincere to their respective spouse. If they were feeling so unhappy in their marriage they should have communicated their issues to their partner rather then cheat.

Dev was a total jerk to his wife and son, while Maya entered into a marriage knowing very well she did not feel anything for her hubby.

The story was not really dealt well.

It's got nothing to do with morals - I couldn't care less if SRK or Rani's characters had 50 one night stands. I just didn't like their characters and how they ended up with each other. It wasn't convincing. K-Jo should remake this movie, he's said he wants to anyway.

Because both Rani and SRKs characters were unlikable even if we put the extra marital thingy aside... whatever problems they had in their respective married life were because of them only..

I actually like KKHH & K3G unlike many here, I think while OTT they are very enjoyable & good entertainment for the whole family (which is rare these days with BW movies).

But KANK remains lackluster. Dev and Maya were just too unlikable (when you were supposed to root for them to an extent at least) and it really glorified cheating with that ending. It's not rewatchable for these reasons

the only best thing about KANK was its music 👍🏼

The acting was just awful couldnt stand srk and rani in the movie. Rani looked like she was forced to do the movie.

But falling in love is not a choice. It just happens, even if the person is married. Dev and Maya were just not compatible to their spouses. But its not easy to break a marriage, hence the extra-marital affair.

There was a reason for Dev being bitter and what Maya did is what happens in arranged marriages.

Because we all are jealousy of the superstar SRK.

But what's wrong if Dev and Maya were responsible for the problems in their marriage and not their spouses? Why should Rhea and Rishi be responsible? Wouldn't that have glorified the extra-marital affair?
