You have such a magnetic way with words. Of course it would take only a poison like drink for him to bare his teeth at Menakas throat. I can just imagine the conversation between them thereafter.
“Since when were other people off limits? I thought everyone was fair play Rishabh,” she says with forced lightness.
Rishabh closes his eyes, Prerna’s laugh echoing in his memory, washing over him in soothing waves.
“We’re changing the rules. Our daughter. And my wife. Off limits,” he says, his voice hard with determination.
Menaka pouts but the iron around her heart grips tighter. “That’s no fair,” she says playfully, her claw like painted talons digging slowly into Rishabh’s frustrated dimple.
In the low light of the hallway he could easily pass for the boy she’d fallen in love with. But he was no longer a boy. She was no longer a lovesick girl. And the world had changed between them catastrophically.
Rishabh catches her wrist in his large hand, turning over her silken skin under his fingers.
“You were always the one who placed the rules,” he says softly, his eyes questioning hers.
She had made the rules when she thought she’d had something to lose.
“What are you afraid of Rishabh?” she questions him then, the air palpable with current between them.

And that’s all I’ve got 😂 I just don’t know if this show will ever give me the love triangle we deserve. Love is not a child’s game, it’s a raging war and Anurag has never been smart enough for it.
