I think for me personally, I've never connected to Prerna as a character and her motivations have always been wishy washy at best. The one consistency Prerna has depicted this season is how much she loves, to the point of self-destruction. The love she has for her family and the love she has for Anurag has led her to make some questionable decisions because Prerna doesn't mind burning in hell if it means the people she loves are safe. She almost married the devil to keep her family safe, and then she truly did marry someone she perceived as a demon to keep Anurag safe. My problem with Prerna is that her love and initial judgments of someone make her blind to objective facts. She's done this throughout this season. Anurag is her soulmate so she won't reason with even the smallest idea that he could be wrong. Bajaj is a demon who trapped her so she won't even reason with the fact that he may actually have some depth and motives that have nothing to do with her OR anurag. She's very complacent when she wants things to be a certain way, and she tends to self-sacrifice because it is the only way she thinks to be able to 'save' the ones she loves. Of course like all characters and people, she too is flawed but the disconnect between her writing is so strong that watching her on screen isn't compelling. For me personally, it's hard to root for her when she's constantly blinding herself to even the small moments of progress she makes in her relationship with Bajaj.
Although I do agree with what you've said, it's just frustrating for me personally to relate to her, doesn't mean anyone else is wrong for being able to relate to her. I don't even mind if this doesn't go the PreRish way because right now the story itself hasn't sold me on why Bajaj should be with Prerna, or why Prerna should be with Bajaj. I do believe that this accident hurdle is going to be the last of their miscommunication hurdles, and as soon as this resolved it will make way for more calm between the two. But the writing is incredibly bad and it's not selling me on these two as characters yet. What IS selling me is the chemistry above all else.
