You know I totally wondered about this as well. It would make sense if his father is indeed in Jail, which is why he isn't in HS's life anymore...

Anirudh has grown on me so much .. I don't know when I fell for him .. just loved the sheer change of minute expressions from the fear if revisiting past to find memories to trauma .. etc .. one thing also made me realize is how lonely HS is thru his expressions .. his penance .. loneliness .. as if he is punishing himself .. ah falling short of words .. even here HS & Anu have comingled so well

Indeed this scene reminded me that the the fun and frolic he engaged in was just a facade to hide his immense grief. He loves mother and daughter but they are only soothing the surface scars. The deep gashes on his soul are still hard to get to Or even see because of all the layers of protection he put around them when he built those walls around himself.

He is still very very lonely and grieving on many fronts. No wonder he ran at the chance to have mother daughter in his life permanently through this marriage. They are the most beautiful thing he has found in life and just the thought of losing them would choke him.

My heart cries for his tormented soul.

I would love that too, but in true PB style wouldn't it be just something else if the man who has encouraged women to make use of laws for their protection, himself failed to break free of the shackles of blood ties and could never give his mother justice? That would just compound his guilt. It surrounded like he lived in the same haveli with them while Imarti was there. How would the CVs Expose this flaw / weakness of HS if such a thing were true?

I'm traveling so can't write in much detail but here are some initial thoughts after watching the episode: Dhan ho tumhare dimaag ka. I mean, initial thoughts mein hi itna kuch soch liya. *bows down*

  1. Who invited Khatri? I'm pretty sure he came along with Kammo Rani.
  2. What was that strange look HS gave Babita as he slowed down while dancing? Was he worried he will hurt her the way his father had hurt her mom, or was he still wondering if he was capable of giving her the happiness she deserved and was so clearly looking forward to as she danced without a care. She was shedding her inhibitions slowly but what was she literally coming home too. I had a feeling he was thinking about how his mother must have once arrived there as a bride with her dreams just like Babita had with Ashok and was now starting to dream again with him. The end of the episode proved me right. This haveli had not seen such happiness in a long time, would it last? The dialogue during the balcony scene about him not wanting history to repeat itself in terms of mother-daughter suffering like his mother had - when I heard it I knew it was the starting point/anchor for a new track about his mother at some point. I took it in as him being more mesmerized by Babita. She was just so happy! And if we look at it, this was the first time they were close to one another in public as a couple. They were dancing, completely lost in their own little world.
  3. Babita actually scolding her daughter about bit checking the quality of the mehendi and worrying about what the others would say about how light hers is. Even I don't blame Babita for being pissed off about the mehndi. First of all, that lady didn't even do the full hand nor up until the arms, how brides typically have their mehndi done. Secondly, if my mehndi came out pale to the point that I can't even notice the design - I would be crying buckets and throwing a bigger tantrum than Babes did. Pura ghar apne sar par utha leti par uss mehndi wali ko ni chod thi.
  4. The haveli is so decorated that I can't recognize it and frankly it looks gaudy. Agreed. The once open and free Haveli was now feeling very claustrophobic with all the lights/chandeliers and the pink-orange curtains. It all went overboard.
  5. The whole song dance sequence seemed fake and over the top. I don't want to see more of it. I know they were trying to do like in the movie and shoot it in one take. It was successfully done but the effect didn't come out as intended. Also for the first time I felt Minnie was overdoing things. Overdoing things how? I felt like Mehndi Rachne Wali went on too long. They should have shortened it. Gallan Goodiyan ne toh mujhe chakkar de diye. It was a bit awkward in some parts, and I get what you mean by some of them being aggressive. I think if it wasn't done in one take then it would have come out better. My favorite part of it though was obviously Hanita's portion and the bit where Mickey, Lala, Sukhi and Bobby were dancing together. That wild dance is on par with punjabi family dances. 😆
  6. Minnie seemed to be under a lot of mental pressure. She is. The physical and emotional toll this will have on her is unbelievable.
  7. HS can't dance sala. 😆 Perfect chance for Babes to teach him. 😉😆
  8. The last few minutes were pure gold. Finally his repressed memories are being addressed. Social conditioning by his mother that men don't cry, his mother trying to raise her voice but getting beaten more by his father for supposedly complaining to his grandfather, him keeping quiet as a kid so as not to make things worse for her but his adult self cannot stop blaming himself for not taking action and helping her escape her misery. In those few moments his whole life story was written on.his face, in the transition from nostalgia to fear to regret, to a whole bottomless pit of dark emotions. Unfortunately it was too short a scene! Aniruddh was just fantastic there. I'm running out of adjectives for this guy. Hands down my favorite scene of the episode! Gosh, all he did was stand there and he delivered so much!
  9. I was right that he was a naughty kid but what a shame his innocence was brutally destroyed in his childhood. They never talked about his father passing away so I wonder if he will make an appearance. For what reason would his father come back now? For HS there's so much to be worked with: A) his reconciliation with the past B) moving on from the trauma he suffered because of him C) finally being able to take a stand against him as there is NO WAY that he'll let his father abuse Babes or Minnie in any way. But in terms of his father, what reason would compel him to return him after all these years?
  10. Anyone else get the feels hearing all the Haryanvi spoken by his family members? I do! Mostly confusion, as it was a bit difficult for me to understand what they were saying. 😆
  11. What a master stroke in revealing the other rooms in the haveli and its dark secrets! Perfectly done. Totally worth the wait and endless speculation. 😉 With the wedding arrangements not only was the haveli decluttered take space but it also started revealing things that were previously masked or hidden. Yup! And as HS said, there are many more rooms that he has kept closed. I'm assuming his grandfather's and father's are some of them.
  12. Glad it's not Imarti's but his mother's room. It's better for Imarti and Maan's relationship to be kept completely separate from Hanita's, at least until Babita's insecure. She is the makaan malkin now so one day she will learn all its secrets, and with them understand her husband better and better. She needs to know about his childhood trauma at some point and to figure out to.what extent it affects him even today. Yes, and while I appreciate Minnie being there, I truly wish Babita takes on the initiative of helping HS out. Minnie is still reconciling with the aftermath of her own falling out with Ashok so she can't provide that clarity that Babita could. Not only is Babita an adult, but she's also a parent. She'll be able to understand the intricacies that lie behind all these relations way better than Minnie can.
  13. The look on HS' face as he touches Minnie's cheek in the pre-cap - so much love, trust, and shared understanding, implicit empathy, especially around both having daddy issues. He has just given her access to her late grandmother's legacy the way he gave her access to Imarti's. Yet another milestone in the father-daughter relationship, and Minnie taking on even more of her father's side's legacy, not all of it pleasant. At first, based on BTS videos I felt it was weird that she wanted to decorate it, but after watching the episode it takes on.a whole new meaning. Minnie knows about his mother and his emotions attached to what happened to her, how it shaped. She can't express it but she knows the significance of the room and the trust with which he hands over to her the keys to another part of his past yet again. It is indeed very special because she has moved yet another step closer to her father and knows the weight of his trust in her and his immense love for his daughter that enabled him to take this step - just when you think these two can't get any closer, they take it to yet another level. Minnie and HS' relationship will continue to grow and evolve in ways that we simply can't imagine. The most beautiful thing about it is that none of it feels forced. It's natural and in a way it also makes sense. For HS, Minnie will always come first. So why shouldn't she know about all his deepest darkest secrets? He knows that he's putting his heart in safe hands. It will be well protected and loved in the way it deserves.
  14. Once more I'll say I love Naeem Bi. She understands him so well. She was witness to the abuse too and a victim of abuse herself. I would like to know more about her story too. Same! We saw her scenes with Imarti. I would love to see her with HS' mother. I'm pretty sure the two women would have supported and consoled each other when the men hurt them so much. And imagine if little Hanuman was with them as they conversed with one another. Or he was off to the side playing with Naeem Bi's kids, unaware of what the two ladies were talking about.
  15. The last few minutes of the episode captured the essence of several years of trauma. Can't wait to see how more is revealed about his past. Just as with the Imarti track this will be mind-blowing as well. It honestly astonishes me as to how much trauma is filled in HS' mind. I mean, I thought him being haunted by Imarti was bad enough but now it's the ghosts of his family too. 😭

Please CV get her some professional help because she is seriously suffering from something...it's almost like she has some kind of emotional disorder

I think CV are alluding to something not right with Babes especially with the sudden changes in her emotions and personality

babita and mini share a very special bond where they are best friends rather than mother-daughter. and babita has always taken care of mini, why is it so troubling if mini is taking care of babita?

it is very subtly shown how much babita cares for mini and how well she raised mini, that mini can understand her mothers emotions and take care of her.

Well, considering he hid the reason behind Imarti's death, why not. 🤔

Exactly. This 🙌. A woman who’s never demanded for anything in her life, a woman who’s always suppressed her feelings is finally demanding that he wedding be perfect. I don’t see anything wrong in it. Yes, at the moment her blaming Mini for not getting the right mehendi sounded childish, but it’s okay yaar she’s the bride. All brides have tantrums, but she understood and realized and apologized to Mini, and I don’t think Mini felt bad about it, so it’s all sorted. I liked Mini and Babes scene. It was so cute ❤️

and how many times does it happen that daughters get angry/ upset with their mothers.

though it is not shown i am sure babes and mini had such moments, where mini was complaining and said something hurtful to her babes.

just because babita is her mom doesnt give her a free pass. and i am sure mini would apologise later and babita would forgive her.

why is there so much problem if for once the relation is reversed and the mother wants something, wants the first happiness in her life after mini, to be perfect?

That's why I said OMG, I don't want the mother-daughter trying to do what they did with Imarti's father. In fact, for a change I would like nothing better than to see them roar like lionesses and teach him a lesson for all the pain they have caused HS, or at least stand by his side if he tries to finally punish his father.

Sometimes I wonder if he sent his father to jail when he grew up but doesn’t sound like he did if his wife used to look after him.

Also are we finally going to see photos of his mother? Just like with Imarti, does his mother's death pain him to the extent that he put away her photos too? I wonder if Minnie will find something in that room like she did in the chest that will increase her curiosity about his past and unleashes more of his anger or just expose more of his wounds.

I'm sorry I think I misunderstood your previous reply, but it makes sense now 👍🏼

@Bold 1 - That'd be great to show on the CVs part, if he's indeed coming back.

@Bold 2 - That's exactly what I'm dreading, especially knowing Babita's nature she'll probably want them to reconcile in a positive way. But for a change I want her to stand by Hanuman's side and support him no matter what. Minnie will obviously support her Hanuman uncle so us ki tension bilkul bhi nahi. Lekin Babita 🤔

But I hope the twist is something else, I really don't want him back.

Brilliant this is 👍🏼. Ahh makes much more sense too for HS to feel so guilty to not be able to protect his mother.
