I agree with ur first para. We really can never know any person completely whether it's love or arrange marriage. But I don't think all the women are damsels. Now a days women have financial freedom which prev generation mostly lacked. If you are not happy with ur marriage they are ways either to go counselling and make it work or divorce and live ur life like u wish.

Coming to joining families. Here Prerna did a sacrifice imagine if there was no Bajaj or no marriage proposal or deal as per others. What would have happened is Anurag in Jail serving for 15-20yrs sentence. Prerna is neither completely educated she doesn't have a certificate nor shez street smart. Basus on road without anything. Prerna taking responsibility of both families when neither shez educated or have a job or financially independent. That would have been worse scenario. She sacrificed her life to give Anu a new life and Basis shelter on their head. With or without Bajaj it happened earlier too that basus going bankruptcy and coming on road. Even in Bajaj's absence komolika dad wouldn't have kept quiet and let basus live peacefully.

Coming to Prerish, Prerna can even now go back of her word and apply for divorce claiming half of his property. Who is stopping her to do it. Just herself she don't want to cheat or backoff from the deal.

If shez not cheating why Im questioning her loyalties is not bcz shez having some EMA or physical intimacy with Anu no. I'm asking her or atleast expecting her as a women to protect her respect either it's from Mohini or Nivi or Anu or Bajaj. Her talks or friendships is not the problem with ex but her way of dealing and giving lineance is the problem.

In normal scenario if anyone touches without permission to a women. She might ask the person in a normal way to not touch. But if the person continuously touching her again and again when she asked them not to touch. What will any girl with decency do slap him or show him his limits which Prerna is clearly lacking thus Anurag is taking advantage of it and trying to touch her again and again. Why can't he understands no means no.

If there was no Bajaj then the story wouldn't unfold the way it did, true. However, the only options wasnt go to jail or get married to a stranger. There are choices in between that both Anurag and Prerna could have made, but we won't know about that now so no point in talking about what could have been. She's not really giving leniance to Anurag because she feels the same exact way that Anurag feels for her. She's actually holding herself back and not giving herself entirely to Anurag because of the loyalty. She has more control of her feelings than Anurag because she's loyal to Bajaj. But it's unfair of Bajaj or the audience to expect Prerna to completely let go of Anurag because she's living in his house, her feelings havent changed at all. What is fair to expect is that she has some care for Bajaj, not in a romantic way, but as a human because she does feel that she owes him that much for Bajaj helping Veena and for not turning out to be an actual scum that Naveen turned out to be.

That's my point I guess. this is not a normal scenario so logically speaking you can't apply normal standards to this relationship. Normally, I'd love to have Prerna not marry Bajaj and be with the person that she wants to be. And this kind of behavior is coming from Anurag, who Prerna knows is not normally like this. It's because Anurag has been deeply hurt so he's behaving this way. If we can apply muddy morals to Bajaj, we can do the same with Anurag. Yeah he's presented to be the positive male lead, but he's human, he makes mistakes and we can't shun him or put him on a high pedestal all the time so when he does make mistakes, it's considered highly offensive. Let anurag make mistakes. Let Prerna make mistakes. You don't have to agree with it, I don't agree with it, doesn't mean you can't understand why people behave the way they do. That's why I like Bajaj as a character. I see the hypocrisy in his behavior, but I do understand it. People are lenient to certain characters and theyre not lenient with others. You will be able to justify Bajaj's character, and I will be able to justify Anurag's character. Doesn't mean I'm wrong and you're right or vice versa.
