Yup!

And live-in does not automatically equate to having pre-marital sex. Sex very well could be involved in some couples, but it's not mandatory. What matters is a couple's compatibility and their understanding of one another and the type of efforts they're willing to put in to solve any conflicts that may arise.

It's not live in- they're more like roommates. But I wouldn't mind live in either😳😉.

I hate it when people think if man and woman are living together something sinister is happening. And those who believe in gender segregation (like lovely) somehow have dirtiest minds- they think that only interaction between man and woman would be physical/sexual. Idea of platonic aspect of friendship (or even romance) is unknown to them.

I don't think Lovely will change so easily. It will take a massive showdown and then patient explanation to change her perspective. This might happen if Babita is rude to her right now, showing the mirror + she is exasperated and walks off + Babita stops everyone and anyone from going behind her, to pacify her + Babita later goes to her, when she's calmer (and perhaps when she is packing for Dubai) and explains where she's going wrong in life.

But again, this is highly cliched, not PB style.

But thats the whole concept of Live-in na. Couples usually opt for a "live-in" relationship after dating for a while, when they are comfortable sharing the same space with each other everyday, and of course physical intimacy is most likely involved in these kinds of relationships. Live-in gives you an opportunity to know your partner in every way without having to engage in a legally binding relationship. Thats the whole concept of Live-in. So, in most cases, Live-in does involve sex, or physical intimacy, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as its consensual.

Hanita's case however is different. They started living together in the same house as landlord and tenant first, and gradually built their relationship to this stage. So, technically they are living in together, but not really in a "live-in relationship" in the practical sense. And everyone in the mohalla knows, and esp Lovely knows how HS/Babita ended up living in the same house, so I don't understand her taunting Babita on "live-in sin". Knowing both HS/Babita's personalities, people around should know that they will not be comfortable in having a physical relationship without marriage, and lets say even if they did, so what? They are two adults in their 30s. Its not like its a crime .

And did Lovely forget that her own brother and Meeta were also in a live-in, where the entire family was a testimony to this, including lovely who lived in the same house. Tab live-in sin nahi hua. So, why this expectation to be pious and virtuous only from Babita?

I really don't think Lovely will understand even then. I genuinely feel like she needs a child in her life. Only then will she be able to let go of all the bitterness that's inside of herself. Because right now her infertility is subconsciously haunting her and is making her seeking consolation in areas that aren't even that important.

ahhhh I am way way way behind and with my hectic schedules and upcoming hectic 3 months i don't think i will be able to binge all that soon like in 3 days i only managed to watch like 8 or 9 episodes but honestly your posts are making me even more curious about the show and i want to participate but then i am clueless about some of these characters and don't want to spoil the upcoming for myself too hahha so this one is a big dilemma i am not really watching the current episodes on daily basis but maybe i should start that warna toh i will forever be behind by like a year😆

Aagghh, I had posted up a reply but it got eaten up. 😵

So here's the gist of what I had said:

- As Sakurablossom mentioned, Hanita's situation can more aptly be described as roommates than a live-in

- India has a fixed concept about sex. It's acceptable between married couples only. Yes, this ideology is changing but it's in major, urbanized cities. A large portion of the country still believes it's something that happens only between couples after marriage. Sex is still very much a taboo topic and it's not something you can openly discuss without having weird looks thrown at you. Unless, it's spoken negatively and to bring someone's image down of course.

- Lovely may have gotten a negative perception of live-ins because of Ashok & Meeta. And then, who knows what kind of friends she has in Dubai and what kind of junk they fill her mind with.

- Babita has always presented herself as being pious and virtuous. For her to go against that image will be shocking to the Khuranas and liberating for the Singhs.
