Is Ekta a legend?

I mean she will die a legend for sure. This person has changed the face of Indian television for better or for worse and is still ruling the roost. Nobody has been able to undo her monopoly or impact on TV.

Ruled Televison single handedly for a decade or so. So why not? KZK 2 despite being a crap for today's age, is ruling TRP chart! Lol

Actually star kids should learn from her. Being a hero/ heroince is not everything. She is an active and powerful part of entertainment industry and that too without being in fornt of the camera.

Yes , as regards to TV. She is the power centre of ratings, nearly all her shows do well. She rules TV, her shows makes new stars out of nobodies.

The content may be crap, ridiculous, but it sells.

Ooh ya! Ekta has rules TV and the people she has worked with consistently are now stars in their own right. Sakshi Tanwar, Ram Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Mona Singh etc,

Mouni Roy started off in Balaji and then went on to be movie Star. I read somewhere that she also helped sushant with Kai po Che since Abhishek Kapoor is her cousin.

She has done so much for TV, and now with Alt Balaji, she is competing with Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.

Tbh, I don’t like Balajis way of operating, cuz when you start they take you on for pennies on the dollar, but she is a smart businesswoman, and her interviews have always been a good watch/read.

Oh yes she is...she has ruled tv single handedly for a dacade or so n now evn the other TV producers/directors are those who have worked under her once... No. Of actors/actresses she has launched n made their life, she always take care of her own n give them work!

I truly admire her for making her own place n standing tall when it was man's world...

She is in a sense. Not only she ruled TV industry for more than a decade, she gave platform to so many new actors to show their talent. She basically gave job to hundreds of people. There was a time when Television industry was equivalent to Balaji. Every second show was from the same production house. Whether good or bad, she influenced how TV industry was perceived. And she indeed made her own identity despite being Jitendra's daughter. She is still doing so well for herself in contrary to her sibling.

She downgraded Indian TV to such extent that people forgot the actual content like office office, filmy chakkar and other shows... Even the cult show like Sarabhai vs sarabhai was flop in her saas bahu era... But she did that single handed, I don't know about legend but she's a game changer!

Indian tv was sane till she took K route. ( she produced hum panch). After that tv went into trash. Yes she gave jobs to thousand of people not a doubt. She rules tv industry. But high time to to give tv it's older glory . Tv was respected at one time.

She definitely has something about. She’s done so many successful shows and she’s still going. Yes, some of the storylines etc are not the best but she still has the audience enticed. Many peoples childhoods have had them watching her shows. She’s still going strong and I don’t see that stopping for sure.
