LOLL, mano ya na mano, but he does. Despite having an infertile wife, he never left her. Babita mentioned that Lovely used to be humiliated and taunted a lot by her in-laws. So what did Sukhi do? He supported his wife's decision to go back to her maayka.

Lovely is constantly compensating for not having a child. Does it come out in wrong ways? Yes. Does she need to consistently put others down to make herself feel better? No, but it does make her feel better. That momentary bliss is nothing to the life long void of feeling incomplete.

And Sukhi isn't blind to Lovely's actions. He's always tempering her down and is making her thinking twice about what she's doing. He too has his own insecurities about not being able to provide for his wife but with his job in Dubai, it's getting better. I loved how Sukhi hasn't changed at all. He's still very humble, grateful and polite to others. Don't know what their current status is like, but I think having an adopted child will make things a lot better for Lovely.
