New to the forum Question abt Babita as a mom - Page 3

i dont have any bother abt 2nd marriage i salute to cvs to show in national media abt this issue but in this story Mini has become mom of princess babs..which is ok with me as well ..but i dont like when babs the princess says while choosing the lehenga " meri choice ki pehli baar koi kadar nahi ki isbaar meri jo marzi i will buy " beside this so many etc issue s i dont egree..naaah this thing i cant ez to digest and normal ..yaar u r a mom 1rst then bride ..and not only mom u have teen ager daughter not toddler ..its her age to fun,adventurous, instead she is taking ur damn responsibility and now ur nakhras ..not a single time as far i remember she is eager to search a beautiful outfit for Mini..y? i dont think so its normal ..come on ..what kind of weird things they r showing ?is it happen in real life i dont know..yes she has full right to enjoy her wedding but not this way ..she could have said to minni i dont want that much chaos on my wedding just simple sa is ok mini ..tune bohot kiya ab tu apne liye kuch toh karr.. seriously!!! her behavior is idiotic 16 yrs..not mature like mini who suppose to be like teen not 35 yrs like princess BABs..👎🏼

pls guys i am not bashing who ever r babitas fan dont think that way ..but whatever is true ..u have to take as real way instead covering her fault..

Maybe it’s asking for too much but it would have been nice if they both worked on their issues together at the same time, rather than one persons issues (babita’s) taking precedence over the other (mini’s). I understand that they needed to show babita getting confidence and stuff but t would have been nice if while she was getting this confidence, she considered the impact on mini, and gave a little back while still receiving everything she did from mini.

I think it will happen in parallel, not one after the other. Already we saw Mickey prodding Minnie about her issues and today HS saw how his daughter was affected and tried to calm her down. He's very perceptive and I think he will step in a bit more to prevent Minnie from getting too wrapped up in her mother's problems.

I want HS to talk to Mickey about some of Minnie's issues or maybe even NB. It would be good to hear his thoughts about his daughter, because he clearly understands her inside out too.

To me it’s already happening one before the other because babita’s journey has already began from episode 2, whereas there’s not really been any focus on the effect everything has had on mini. I personally wish it was done side by side to babitas. Gosh, this would have made hs counselling services 24/7 if he had to deal with both babita and mini simultaneously 🤣

Well he is getting good practice before he opens up his counselling services after retirement.

Do you remember what NB told HS after mother-daughter ran upstairs with their first check from catering? She had said that her heart ached for both of them knowing that one hadn't experienced a husband's love and the other hadn't known what a father's love was. I think in that moment I knew that Minnie's issues would be dealt with.

They don't talk about it directly, everyone automatically accepts HS and Minnie's bond but I want them to discuss this. I want them to show HS addressing some of Minnie's repressed anger and the reason for it, as well what the absence of a father did to her. He can love her all he wants but the scars aren't going to be gone so easily, especially because the divorce was so nasty and the fallout from it traumatizing for her.

I think Minnie should be the one to bring this up. Maybe a small gesture on HS' behalf triggers an emotional response or after a family moment, Minnie realizes what it means to have the love of both parents simultaneously.

I came across that video accidentally on YouTube and cracked up the whole time. Come to think of it, Gulabo is the perfect choice and it was done with a lot of humor. It's great to see people enjoying themselves like that.

Yes.. I think the CVs dropped the ball in maintaining consistency in Babita's character. When the show started the trope was that Babita is the universal nurturer who takes cares of everyone in the family, puts their needs and demands before her own, especially to Minnie> But somehow now the tabke is turned and Babita is being shown as a character who is so immersed in her own feelings that she never notices what her 17 year old daughter needs.

She was looking at lehengas online for herself. It would have been nice if she found one which would look great on Minnie. It would also have been nice if they show some scenes similar to Babita sitting up the whole night, sewing new clothes for Minnie's first day in college. Because that's what moms do. Whether they are in a happy marriage or a single mom, moms put the needs of her children before her own. Now, she doesn't even realize that Minnie hasn't come to bed and has fallen asleep on the sofa outside. It would have been nice if she shared something other than her own fears and insecurities and dreams with her daughter once in a while and try and find out what Minnie is feeling. I would have expected a heart to heart conversation between mother-daughter before Babes proposed to HS. Her relation with Minnie came before everything else and she should have taken her into confidence before taking such a mammoth step. It would have been nice to see a smattering of small scenes where Babes is seen worrying about Minnie.. about her career, her future, her emotional needs, her dreams. It is not very palatable to see Minnie shouldering all the responsibilities as a caretaker and Babes absorbing without trying to fulfill her own duties as a mother.

The name of the show is Patiala Babes and it should have been a journey of both the 17 yr old and the 35 yr old.

I would say it is only writer's fault something is missing for sure. She is the same Babita who had worked whole night to prepare new dress for Minnie. Now she is ok with that her daughter will wear old clothes.
