Haven't seem seen all of the contenders yet, but Alia Bhatt in Guly Boy/Kalank and Taapsee Pannu in Badla/Game Over were highly impressive. Sanya Malhotra is very underrated.

Vidya balan for mission mangal

From the list, have only watched Vidya, Alia, Taapsee, Tabu and Rakul. The first three delivered competent performances but none of them were award worthy. But if you force me to choose from these, I'll pick Vidya.

It just goes to show how bad this year has been for actresses. I just hope the last four months of the year springs up some surprises, from an otherwise underwhelming year.

From the list, Alia and Vidya were somewhat good. Others were meh!!

my mom has fallen in love with kriti post lukka chupi which i have yet to see though..but she couldn't stop praising how good and natural she was..and that she is a sign of relief among so many plastic faces we see today..makes me wana see LC now

Vidya for sure. She was great as always in Mission Mangal.
