Creative differences between Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali lead to Inshallah being shelved?

• One of the biggest announcements that was made this year was the reunion of blockbuster duo Sanjay Leena Bhansali and Salman Khan after the actor’s short stint in 2007 in Saawariya. The two have delivered together films like Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam which continue to be cult classics in Hindi cinema even today.
  

Inshallah was announced in March on Alia Bhatt’s birthday as a surprise for the audience. The film would have been the first time Alia and Salman would have shared screen space but unfortunately, the film seems to have taken a wrong turn as news of it being shelved surfaced yesterday. Confirming the film’s status, a source close to the production house and the director revealed,Colored Text "Sanjay Leela Bhansali respects and loves his actors and suggestions are welcome but not if they aim to alter the narrative. Hence, he has taken the decision to shelve the film. However, they are still friends and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has immense love and respect for him."

This is not the first time the actor and director have had a fall out. Their creative differences lead to quite the turmoil during the shoot of Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam as well. Salman was unhappy with the ending of the latter as he wanted the film to end with his character getting the girl, Nandini played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but Bhansali was clear of his vision and ignored Salman’s change in the narrative. The two further fell out during Guzaarish when Bhansali offered the film to Hrithik Roshan. Salman was so upset that he made comments about the film being a total disaster and a flop at the box-office.

With Inshallah’s announcement, one expected to see the duo make it big yet again on the silver screen, but we guess we all will have to wait just a little bit longer before that happens.

If SLB could let go of Salman because their visions were not matching....would he have taken Alia as a lead just because KJo forced him too??🤣All those theories of Alia being not pretty enough and poor bhola bhala SLB being forced at gunpoint to take Alia as his lead...sure a man who let Salman go...would definitely not have a lead actress who did not match his vision...🤣

And the same people laughed at Bhansali for casting salman and Alia as leads ,who falls in love though there is age gap...bhai,Bhansali is not a fool to cast them ..he has a vision in his mind and knows how to execute it...and i was very curious to see how he presents it...sigh

Even for hddcs he suggested but Bhansali took the final decision and made the movie how he wants.. tho problem kya hai bhai ? ? Why all this neg articles on salman and throwing him under the bus ki slb don’t take the changes in narrative yada yada..? As if salman forced him to change at a gun point...duh

didn't the shelving of the film happen way after their casting. So, obviously if the feud happened after the casting, then SLB was fine with the casting way before the feud.

I am sure he wanted Alia, and if it is supposed to show a 20 year old girl and a 40 yr old man then why would she not be suited? She does look rather young. But he has complimented Alia in the past

I am going by facts. But who knows what really goes behind the scenes.

Alia's lineup is the best among actresses even w/o inshallah. I am not sure I understand this?
