Dear Parineeti,
You started off so well. In films like 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' and 'Ishaqzaade' you were the epitome of an indomitable spirit; an actor who is aware of her strengths as well as shortcomings. The fairy tale continued with 'Shuddh Desi Romance' and 'Hasee Toh Phasee'. When 'Daawat-e-Ishq' came out we were like one cannot always get a good film but you acted well enough to evade any criticism that was aimed at you. The problem started with 'Kill Dil' where Govinda looked better than you. We were left wondering why you were trying to look and act like a 'thin-hot' girl. It was only later we realized that you were obsessed with the idea of being thin. You literally took a year off, to work on your body - in other words, to lose weight to get better roles. And the decadence was clearly visible in films like 'Golmaal Again', 'Namaste England', and 'Jabariya Jodi'. Right now your most entertaining role on the big screen is the Lyra ad that plays before a movie starts, across multiplexes, around the country. We fans need more than that, and you know you can bounce back, choosing one good script at a time. And, oh! please stop any association with Arjun Kapoor. He is like that one guy in your friend list who has a rich father and acting is just a passing phase for him before getting into the family business of financing films. Take care.
