I disagree about the part where you indicate that HS ran to propose to fast, somewhere had to do with his insecurities for Mini that He fears she will go away.
Remember the episode, Mini gets home after operation and goes to apologize to HS. He tells her -- Aurat aur Aadmi ka jo rishta hota hai na. Yeh samajna aasan nahi hota. Mein yeh nahi kehta ki teri mummy ko kisi ki jarurat hai. Lekin aapko ek emotional support chahiye. Ki koi aapke sath khada rahe.
He doesn't want Babita coz he gets to have Mini. He has always said that Mini ke sath uski equation alag hai. I see the same with Babita.
Mujhe woh aadhi -adhuri nahi chahiye. Mujhe to woh puri ki puri, sare rishton ke sath. Kadvi-meethi yaadon ke sath chahiye.
Is what he said to Naeem Bi. Hanuman wants Babita for himself. Though I am glad he included Mini in the proposal. He could have handed Babita the keys, but he ran upstairs. Babita also could have said Ek photo aur aayegi, Meri aur Aapki. Instead she said.. Meri, Mini ki aur aapki.
Mini is an integral part of their relationship but she is not the only reason. HS and Babita want each other the same.
I might have missed something if it came out in my writing that HS was doing this only for Minnie or that he wants to marry Babita just for Minnie. She is an important driver for both HS and Babita, but they do want each other too.
I have been feeling that there is some insecurity that HS feels about Minnie because Babita was going to leave with her. He wouldn't marry Babita only to keep Minnie, but it is a way for him to secure that.
