I hope what you say is right. And if HS was a real character, obviously he wouldn't even think of going against his principles. But his character is fictional and it's written by someone...

I'm actually thinking the opposite. If HS was a real person, then I would have been more worried as human beings are the most unpredictable creatures. There's no telling when or how they'll react to any given situation. However, because HS is fictional, and written by someone, there is a purpose to everything he does. There's a specific reason why he works in the police force. There was a reason why Imarti died in the way she died and the imprint it left on him. There's a reason why he carried the guilt of not helping his own mother out of an abusive relationship for so many years. There's a reason why no one questioned HS when he claimed himself to be Minnie's father.

It's rare for ITV to be so attentive to their characters, but in this case, there is a reason to every single thing. It's almost like reading a novel. Nothing has been added ainvayi. Even side characters like Khatri, Lala, Sardar Singh etc., they all have their own roles to play and with every dialogue and action, they move the story forward. They impact the major characters and place them in positions where they must take action or pause and reflect.

Patiala Babes is an absolute treasure and as an English Lit major, I am absolutely floored by how they are able to present their story in such an intricate and gorgeous manner.

It's not easy being an Inspector and the type of cases they have to handle on a daily basis... it's horrible. That alone, brings its own kind of stress and tension. Babes needs to be able to handle/deal that aspect of HS' life too.

Oh! I am hoping he becomes ACP and we can see some of his work life, instead of him just using the police station as his hideout from mother-daughter.
