Sushmita literally adopted a girl child when adoption was something still new in India and still looked down upon even in urban areas.
She not only just adopted...she adopted a girl child all by herself.
Single woman. Unmarried. Adoption. Girl Child. Those things individually are hard enough but together one needs the spine of steel to pull it off. She did that and then adopted another girl child. She is more of a doer than most Bollywood combined.
God, this adoption trope has been done to death. Anything else?
What she has done is definitely a noble thing, but it gets far too much credit.
Why is she more of a doer than Bollywood combined? Sunny Leone also adopted a girl child even though she was married and also has children of her own. So what makes her greater than Sunny?

Anything else than being a single unmarried woman in India during that era and then adopting two girls? You need to have lived in that era to understand how things were back then. Far too much credit for doing something unheard of those days and inspiring a generation of people especially women ? Naah.
Anyway, dont call adoption a trope. Literally how many people do that these days and not surrogacy? The apna khoon, paraya khoon unchi khoon, neech khoon mentally is still there very much so.

She was not just a random woman in India, she was a celebrity. She was able to have it easier because of her privilege. "How many people do that these days?" - Do you know how hard is it to adopt for an ordinary citizen? Surrogacy was a much easier option for normal people, adoption was a nightmare and still is. All the more for single parents. So no, it's not always about genes or blood.

Still very much about genes and blood. I was a social worker lmao. Please don't even try with me. People prefer surrogacy because there's a lineage esp in India. And by the way, it wasnt easy for Sushmita to adopt Renee. Do read up. Also privileged or not, she still did what most women can't and won't even in this day and age. So still has more balls than Vidya and literally any other woman currently in Bolly. And you can't invalidate that nomatter how much you try to.

I know about Sushmita's adoption. It was still relatively easier for her. (She tried to adopt at 22, which is a highly unusual age to adopt because first as a parent you have to show some stability in your life for the agency to give you the custody of a child.) In fact, she was able to adopt by 24, whereas ordinary people have to cross at least 25 to even apply). It's funny if you're trying to prove her struggle was not easier than an ordinary person's.
That she has more balls than Vidya/Sunny or any other woman is purely your opinion and your opinion only, and I beg to differ.
@bold: LOL ok you're the only social worker in the world so only you're allowed to have an opinion on this?
Although Sushmita seems more classy, but Vidya is utmost real and comes very genuine ioffscreen.
I like both... I have watched and read Vidya's interviews more than Sushmita's so voted for her.
adore them both
one of the very few genuinely warm and compassionate personalities
may be sushmita by a tiny margin..that woman is a treat to listen to..so so real..so amazing..

Agree with you
Sush is beautiful but I always watch vidya’s interviews, not sush.
