To be honest, it Is better if kids don’t watch tv reality shows, BB etc. parental guidance Is definitely required, not just for issues like self harm, also regarding love and relationships and intimacy.

Same for adults too. Except we all can get addicted and no one like parents (when we are kids) to come and switch off the TV/internet and say "go do other better things" since now we (as adults) control our own destiny to watch anything we want.
