1. I think Bajaj's mother was either an employee or servant serving Basus. The basus must have treated her badly or maybe harrassed her because Bajaj clearly mentioned today that the person who gives salary to the mother/woman not only treat her as an employee but also as an object.
2. And regarding his dialogue - Darr toh 12 saal ke age mein hi mujhe chodh gya thaaa...I think her mother committed suicide infront of him & he couldn't save her. After her demise he was left alone.
   
3. He loves kookie unconditionally even her mom left her or whatever reason...he always stood beside her. His sole purpose of marrying Prerna was kookie because I think he din't want kookie to suffer what he did - To live life without a mother.
4. Also he said he has enemity or his past related to Basus are on personal grounds. He din't mentioned any professional stuff.
