Not equals, are they? That’s why I like Rishabh and Prerna. They are equals as partners but emotionally they aren’t. Their emotions make them different people.
Anger, hurt and betrayal has taught Bajaj to gather himself and think reasonably. He channels his emotions from his heart to brain and we see a sharp man with crisp action. Alert and agile.
Prerna on the hand, leaves her emotions to pull her not only into a deep quagmire but also often leads her to the sacrificial lamb. After turmoil, she is most often completely lost.
What I loved about their interaction today is how she needs to prioritise tasks at hand. Like instead of worrying about what happens on a day to day basis at Basu Badi, probably she should be more focussed to help her mother.
He also did point out to her the root cause of her problems-money-making. She needs to focus on that.
I just loved how Rishabh did not jump to offer money like he is portrayed to be doing most of the time. He gave her perspective. He gave her a way. That’s Rishabh and not Bajaj for you. The word Bajaj has a baggage of ruthlessness but Rishabh is emotional yet curt.
Clarity, perspective and focus- currently he has those. He walks on thin ice which looks plane yet has a depth of water beneath it. I believe, of all things Rishabh will learn from Prerna- being his original self will be one of them. He will have to change, so will she.
