Few things remind me of new amsterdam

The medical director had a medical condition that troubled him in the first episode itself

Patient strongly felt he/she was dead 💀

Are u referring to that scene where Lady want to build house in grave yard because she miss her mother

They picked the cpr scene & Vardaan's management angle from The Good doctor. The American Good Doctor is inspired by Korean version but in American version they changed the plot heavily from episode 2 of season 1, so it lools completely different & is more technical. Korean version is more dramatic & a love story.

The show will pick many points from here & there. I hope they just do justice to things they pick up. This genre demands a lot of homework.

Is New Amsterdam similar to The Good Doctor because I was reminded of that show from the first episode like Arshi mentioned

I think they have picked up the plot where one of the main character has cancer from the beginning episode only & the bureaucracy part which is central to that show. Here they have changed it to brain tumor.

Sanjivni makers are likely to pick a lot of things from already existing medical shows like Grey's anatomy, House MD, The good Doctor, New Amsterdam, etc.

It would be really cool to have a character like Dr. House in this show but I also know they won’t be able to do justice 😆
