Leaving the past behind

I have noticed in few discussions that people are saying Hanuman has suddenly started remembering Imarti and not loving Babitha completely. Hanuman is very much sure of his feelings about babitha. He is sure from the day he saw her in front of closed eyes in an inebriated state. He has never compared Babitha to Imarti. He knows they are two different women. He loves Babitha for who she is. Infact I think he loves her because she is completely different from Imarti. He has said that he will accept her with all her good and bad experiences in life and he is doing the same . He has accepted her daughter who is biggest remembrance of her past as his own and even accepted her in laws.

But Babitha is expecting him to completely forget his past and love only her. Why can't she accept his past and his love for his late wife. It is not that he will mention her when he is with Babitha . He has never done that. It is babitha who repeatedly mentions her and tries to become Imarti which ticks him off. She wants Imartis place which he will never give her. Imarti is the one who made him the man he is today. Babitha can never become that woman. Like he said 'Imarti Imarti thi.' Same way he can never be Ashok for her who is biological father of her daughter. I just want her to accept him with all his good and bad experiences like he has done.

Well said, you've echoed my thoughts. I also think that once she loses her insecurities she will realize that she need not compete for Imarti's place in his life, rather she has her own already.

As HS has told NB that he knows Ashok will also be part of her past. He has accepted it and has left him there.

Thank you dear. I love reading your analysis of episode. It always brings a new angle to the episode.

As for above episode I strongly believe asking Hanuman to only love Babitha is unfair because her past is standing alive infront of us and his is already dead

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, this is the difference between ex and late spouse. Also no two people are alike, and neither is their way of coping with hardships. HS and Babita both went through trauma but grieving for the dead is on a different level altogether. That's why even in real life a lot of people are very careful before marrying widows / widowers and vice versa because it involves a great deal of understanding and patience on both sides and not everyone can handle it. For some the pain never goes away but they learn to deal with it better over the years.
