I don’t know too much about Hinduism, but isn’t vegetarianism particular only to specific communities? I have come across many religious Hindus who even sacrifice goats as part of temple rituals. They avoid meat during purattasi month though. Anyway I don’t believe people need to follow their religion to the T to prove they are religious. With changing times we adopt some other cultures while still having strong faith in god.
