Undeserving movie ? Thanks to Pad Man, attention was brought on period proverty and since then not only some firm took some actions regarding this issue but India also became one of the first country to suppress the pink tax.

This movie hightlighted the struggles and fight of many regarding the taboo AND the unfairness of women because of their period.

This NA is indeed well-deserved imo.

How is it Akki’s win? Where have I talked about Padman? And I am pretty versed with Social Issues including a woman’s plight regarding Period or otherwise. I was one of the first ones to donate to “The Pad Project “ even before the documentary Period end of sentence garnered attention after winning Oscar.

Vicky was excellent in Uri, but NA is a stretch.

Also Ayushmann's acting skills is becoming too overrated nowaday. Seriously he is not even half as good as Vicky when it comes to acting, but seems like Vicky having that bhakt tag has miffed people.

Akki won for Rustom, not Padman.

Congrats to both! They weren't terrible choices, but they aren't the best ones either. I wish that National Awards paid more attention to regional actors. Most regional actors have a much more phenomenal filmography than most BW actors these days. Hence, their craft is also more refined and natural.

IKR! These are the same people who used to praise him to skies and now they can't stand him 😆 ppl questioning his award when he is definitely one of the best actors of current generation. No matter which movie he got it for he definitely deserves a national award for his talent

Why is my Tabu ignored ? It was a standout performance by her. Best thing about the movie !!

I am glad for all !! Forever Ayush, Vicky, Surekhaji and Akki fan so yeah !!
