A lot of actors despite getting critical acclaim and nominations for their performance do not win awards some of the recipients of this years NAs have been in the same boat in the past. Also some critically acclaimed performances of actors get snubbed in the award season is a fact (again some winnersnof this years have been subjected to this) phir bhi Ranveer is the exception to everything. Others get a pass get hailed as a good actor despite no nominations and no award wins for universally critically acclaimed performances but Ranveer should win the awards to prove that he is a good actor. Can give loads of examples such instances too.😆

Ranveer, Ayushman, Gajraj Rao , Ranbir all of them are better than Vicky Kaushal . It's same as Akshay winning for Rustom.

Ranveer has shown the most versatility "acting wise" not just by donning different looks. I thought that was pretty obvious. All of his character and film choices have been very diverse. Last year itself was amazing, Padmaavat, Simmba and then Gully Boy.

No other actor is showing this kind of versatility and delivering hits as well so yeah Ranveer is definitely the top contender for the NAs.

Performance ki hi baat ki thi maine. Critical acclaim bahut saare performances ko milta hai. Doesn't make it award worthy.

Whenever I hear praises of his versatility, its always about his different looks. Oh look he's playing a barbarian king in Padmaavat, see now he's playing a corrupt police officer in Simmba. Oh look now he's playing a rapper in Gully Boy. The praises I hear is mostly because of changing roles and getups in movies, which is done by every actor. Changing looks doesn't make you versatile.

Contender ho na ho, award to nahi mila na.

The user is probably watching films from different countries for e.g. America i.e. Hollywood and is more than capable of deciding what makes a performance great 😆

I believe, at the end of the day, an actor's job is to "act" regardless of the country and language. So yeah we can easily judge an actor's performance regardless of which country he belongs to.

There is nothing to ROFL on my post. The poster said he/she isn't a Bollywood lover so that definitely means he/she doesn't watch enough Bollywood films to judge and compare other performances with Ranveer's Padmaavat.

Baton ko twist karna to Ranveer fans ki purani aadat hai. Keep crying. Not interested in giving any explanation. At the end Ranveer won thenga for this critically acclaimed performance.

I did not ask you to give an explanation to begin, if I wanted that would have directly quoted you Faltu mein time you wasted. I'm least bothered about him not winning for Khilji nor was I writing essays after essays crying about him not winning.

Sonam deserved her Special Mention by the NA board. Let's not undermine someone's work because they aren't to your taste and that you're bitter your fav didn't get anything.

Haan to kya problem hai if I'm triggered? I consider him overrated and I'll keep on getting triggered on a forum where he's worshipped. Why are you triggered if I'm getting triggered? Mere ko explanation dena bhi nahi hai. But if you'll take dig then you'll get that only in return. Who the heck is writing essays?😆Time waste karne ke liye hi log forum mein aate hai.
