I'm offended when Obese women call themselves 'Curvy' like the 'veli' who started this mess. Flab & double chins don't count as curves woman. You need to hit the gym for that.

Don't see anything wrong with what she said. Many designers don't make clothes for plus sized women. They don't come out and say it but the clothes stop at a certain size. It's the designers prerogative to decide who can carry their clothes and who can't.

Also it is easy to lose a couple of inches. Especially when you're considerably overweight. Don't even have to hit the treadmill. Just go easy on the carbs and sugar for a couple of weeks.

There was no fat shaming here. The last bit was just tips to look better.

Are you for real? Up to now I just thought you were one of PC's PR people who goes on every site spreading the current agenda. Now you sound like Priyanka herself.

Regardless of what size I am, I would still believe the truth which is that extra weight is both unhealthy and unappealing aesthetically. Double chins, pot bellies, bingo arms and flabby thighs don't look good no matter how much some people want to pretend they do. If a person can't lose weight, it looks better to cover up those areas but it's not like anyone is holding a gun and forcing people to dress a certain way.

There is an obesity epidemic going on in most of the developed world where people are eating too much and exercising too little. It's increasing cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer. Fatness is a disease of the privileged. I don't know how gluttonous fat people in countries like India where there is a significant portion who are living on the streets and starving have the nerve to whine about "fat-shaming" and demand that people call them beautiful. Seriously, get some perspective and stop turning first world problems into a nonsensical struggle.

I'm not the one crying about fat-shaming like you are or are you just personally hurt on behalf of overweight Priyanka? Btw, why did that chubby girl in the video squeeze herself into a corset and stand with with one leg behind the other to look the slimmest possible if she's so proud of her heavy body? These people give themselves away even during their rants.

(If you think anyone is stupid enough to put their pics on this site full of stalkers and lunatics, you must not be very smart. )

Excuses, excuses! I got my answer. It’s funny when people like you talk about Priyanka or this girl.

Sabyasachi says stupid things sometimes but he’s doing it right... people come in all different shapes and sizes, just because it doesn’t fit your aesthetic doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Losers like Falguni and others just project their own insecurities.

What is so wrong in what she said??

She is a designer...when asked about what she would advise for plus size brides...she said ...may be loose a little weight if possible...I didn't see her snickering or making fun of overweight people...that was a genuine advise...and then she told according to the body type...no deep necks or slim leghnga...what is wrong in saying that....I am a little plump myself...if anyone genuinely thinks that I should lose weight...what is wrong in that...i think I should loose weight too....I didn't see any fat shaming here.

When has that ever happened to Priyanka? Designers literally line up to design custom outfits for major events

If people think Priyanka is plus size then there’s a bigger issue.

I replied based on regnow's comments who said that PC barely squeezes into the designer outfits. If PC is getting custom outfits from designers then obviously that doesn't apply for PC. I mainly wanted to argue that Western designers do design custom outfits if they think it will help their brand value.

I agree with many comments here who are saying that being fat is not good. Cause it's really not. I mean it's not only about the way you look but also about your health and body. But the point is not that Falguni said something that is true, the point is why should say something like that.

I had a chubby cousin who used to be called out by her family and friends for being fat. Even me or my cousins used to advice her to loose weight. Why? Cause we care for her and for us it's not she's looks ugly or beautiful but we care more about her health and other aspects. When one is fat everyone raises questions, makes jokes and bodyshamming is so common in our country. People make fun of you and that's wrong.

When someone close to you advices or asks you to loose weight or take care of yourself it's because they genuinely care about you but when a random person comes and askes you to loose weight then that's humiliating. If a bride's family, friends or her to be asks her to loose weight then there is nothing wrong but when a unknown person like Falguni who has nothing to do with the bride asks then that's humiliating. Cause that's like she's judging you and like she's already made up her mind that she can't design a dress for you unless and until you loose weight. I agree that Falguni being a designer can suggests some tips but asking right away to loose weight that's seem wrong. Cause when someone is paying so much to get something for their wedding day, you got to make what they want.

It's not about asking fat people to loose weight, cause nothing is wrong with that. It's about who is asking the person to loose weight.
