The trans man case is so completely different from this. What the eff is this equivalence. Kuch bhi. In that case, the business refused someone and that's that. What that business CANT do is lecture or advice someone to be a particular way for them to get the business' service. That's outta line. If parlour had told the trans man he needs to quit being male and be completely female then that's a problem. Fat people don't need every tom, dick and harry telling them to lose weight esp for aesthetic purpose. If they didn't ask you,who the hell are you to lecture them? Their doctors? Family, friends? If Falguni doesn't have the talent to make plus size clothes she should just say that rather than advising the woman to lose weight so that she could fit in.

lol at people blaming Falguni for telling the truth. The social justice warrior culture hasn't reached India that much yet so she was honest. Western designers also feel the same way but they're forced to pay lip service so that fat people don't throw tantrums.

Most luxury designers don't make plus size clothes and have no interest in dressing overweight people because they think it makes the clothes look bad. The biggest size they have is a 10 or 12 without vanity sizing. It's the size that someone like Priyanka would wear and even she seems to be barely squeezing into them. Average high-street stores deliberately make their clothes a lot bigger and give them smaller numbers to soothe people's egos.

I saw a tweet of Rishi Kapoor praising Sara Ali Khan for carrying her own luggage.

Her PR team is being reactive.

Regnow or anyone else shaming others, post a picture of yourself here! I would love to see how people with this mentality look like or are they all talk from behind a computer screen.

I am fat. If someone mocks me for that or uses this fact to belittle me, then it’s bodyshaming. Sharing a fact on what looks good and what not is NOT bodyshaming.

By this logic, the entire plus size section in a store should be considered as body shaming too and should be scrapped. Will fat people like me be happy with that ??

Nonsense.

Western designers do make larger outfits if someone is popular like Adele etc. They are not willing to do it for someone less famous like PC, Bebe Rexha etc.
