I agree they could have shown Sameer succeeded in something. Like the Ad he got on his own, he could more such offers atleast. They can show even Adi bagging a role but not Sameer 😲

But has Sameer not been shown successful in order to glorify Naina - I don’t agree with that. Naina tried all she could to get him an actor’s role but it didn’t work out. Instead Arunaji observed how good he was as a writer and then as a shayar too. He was recognized for his own talent and not upon Naina’s recommendation. Had Sameer been given the Hero role inspite of not great acting then we could say it is to glorify Naina.

To become writer was Naina's career track and all about Mumbai was Sameer's career track. But what we got, Naina becoming writer and Sameer failed as actor. If they wanted to glorify Sam for his talent then Mumbai track should have been abt him becoming a writer and his efforts in that direction. So, he failed what he tried but got attached to what Naina tried and succeeded. This!

This was supposed to be Sameer’s career track of becoming actor and then him discovering his talent as Writer would’ve justified but here Naina becoming writer and Sameer just being supportive and when it’s not even his dream nor his inclination towards it. Ok he writes poems but he did that out of his loneliness since childhood.

But Ross that choice Sameer made based on AI’s advice. He just accepted it and became partners with Naina in writing.

I too agreed with you that they could have Shown Sameer succeeding, atleast getting acting offers and he himself giving it up and taking up writing.

I agree that somewhere female lead becoming an instant success in whatever she does and the male lead facing failure in everything is kinda unfair . He has to be good at something right not just friendship and ek taang pe khade rehna for others. But i guess the factory business part, the boutique business , acting track were all full fledged career plot track for the male lead , and the writing track was just by chance or kinda incidental. So the chances were equal or kinda more for sameer but i guess we din't like any of the executions or outcome of it and hence our disappointment. They have just compensated naina for the whole career focus being on sameer for a long time (though unfair)
