Following the blockbuster success of Wrong No. 2, the film’s lead actors Yasir Nawaz and Neelam Munir will be next seen together in an upcoming television serial scheduled to go on air this year, as revealed exclusively to HIP by Yasir Nawaz. “The drama serial is being produced by Next Level Productions, which is Samina Humayun Saeed and Shana Shanawaz’s production house. It has been directed by Shahid Shafaat and is written by Edison Idrees Masih,” the Dil Mom ka Diya actor revealed.

Yasir had earlier shared a picture from under production serial on his instagram account with the tantalizing caption “Bohat jald ara hey” (Coming very soon).

“The play is expected to consist of 26 episodes. It has a storyline that is centered on family relationships and also touches on hot-button social issues such as underage marriage, child labor and child abuse. My character in the drama serial is quite interesting and the audiences will see it undergo a transformation with the progression of the serial’s storyline,” he said. Starring opposite Yasir in the play will be Neelam Munir, who also appeared in Dil Mom ka Diya and Roshni Shah, whereas other cast members include Samina Ahmad, essaying the role of Yasir’s mother and Rashid Farooqi, who was seen earlier this year in indie-film Laal Kabootar. When asked about the title of the drama serial, Yasir stated that the current working title is Toottay Taray but that is expected to change andthe final title will be revealed soon.

Set to be broadcasted on the ARY network, the drama series will be another feather in the cap for Shahid Shafaat after the success of Surkh Chandni, whereas its lead pair Yasir Nawaz and Neelam Munir will be looking to bring the magic of Dil Mom Ka Diya back on screen. Yasir and Neelam effortlessly tickled the audience’s funny bone earlier this year in Eid-ul-Azha hit Wrong No. 2, and we are sure they will capture the audience’s attention in this socially relevant production, proving their versatility further.

Neelam needs to work with younger actors. 😒 Yasir is a good actor , but he is too old for her. I loved her pairing with Ahsan Khan in their movie and that drama which I forgot its name. 😃

I am pretty sure Nida Yasir will promote this serial in her morning show
