Garima would have asked a fair question to Manohar for Akash is their first born. Garima desperately wanted Arnav to marry Khushi. She may not have anything against Akash per se but knows that he will never go against Priya. Unlike Arnav, Akash would never defend Khushi against Priya. From Khushi Garima convo it appears that Khushi has a crush on Akash for years, from the time she joined Kapoors. Had Akash felt something for Khushi, he would never have remained on the background when Manohar was taking Arnav's proposal for Khushi.

It is possible that Manohar may not have actually worded anything about Akash's lack of interest in marriage but Garima would have brought this point home to Khushi because she wanted what was best for her daughter. A secure marriage where she had a husband who genuinely loved her, support of a good Father in Law, security of a good career ahead with no objections to helping her family financially.

Even if Garima lied about this to Khushi, from Akash's non intrusive behaviour at the engagement, it felt that he was ok with Khushi getting married to Arnav and wasn't ready to to anything.

Now if Akash really had any feelings for Khushi, he may have kept quiet (1) for Priya because she was against this match (2) For Manohar because he must have felt getting Arnav married to Khushi may pave a way for better understanding between Arnav and Khushi.

@bold- why hold a third person responsible when Akash didnt have the heart to take Khushi on for her love, or his, we never know

Arnav had a bad past, but Shyam appears to be his saviour, although Shyam is shrewd.

Khushi definitely has some misconceptions about Arnav and he hasnt helped the cause too.

It takes two to tango, and I have always felt that here Arnav took the onus and Khushi had it easy.
