@AA. I think the timing is very important. All Hum dramas started after the new dramas on other channels started and established themselves among viewers. I still wonder how did Gul O Gulzar manage to give strong competition to MRW on Thursdays. Both have strong fan followings.

Coming to Kun Faya kun . It started well , first epi was good , it is a good family drama , with lots of interesting characters, each one of them have shades except for Imran, Azra and Aleezay maybe. I loved the bonding between Mashal and her grandma. on the other hand Imran and Zarnish had some beautifull scenes.

Episode 2 was good.. I loved it how the old lady didn't let her sons in the dark prefering to hide what their wives did to her. I am happy that this drama is giving a good lesson about the responsibilities which sons have for thier parents.

Alizey is ok as Mishal , but there's nothing extraordinary about her acting. and when Imran was teasing her it looks like they were siblings. In the precap..the other cousin looks interested in her. and she looks better with him. 😊Her innocence is her usp. It is refreshing to see young characters being played by young girls.😃

This drama is still grapping me for the interesting characters, Arman who plays the elder son of Obaid came from Dubai , he is a soft hearted guy . he fell for Mashal for her innocence. He gifted her a mobile, which Areesha the other cousin snatched it from her. Precap shows Haris (Imran Abbas) asking his sis Areesha about it , and shouting at Mashal, as he cosiders himself her elder brother.

Yayayayy! 5.0 is actually really good. If it can rise 1.5 in a week I am hoping it becomes a slot leader soon

The problem with Hum dramas that they start slowly, they don't begin with a shock..ARY dramas start with the main plot.. like Nayab's death in Cheeck.. the acid attack in Surkh Chandni, Aiman's eloping in Bhool, Shahroz' murder in Hasad. Here in Kun Faya Kun they are building the story step by step.. which makes it look like it is another family drama.

I agree.. the show is very unique but the way it started made it seem like its something from GEO TV or something.
ARY dramas start right away. For example with Kaisa Hai Naseeban the marraige and her moving happened in the 1st double episode already!
