I just want the makers to know that, if they want to satisfy the viewers who still follow age old norms and patriarchal mindset of society and still keep on showing woman as the mahaan devi, they better stop calling their stories as progressive. I loved the story for they showed mini considering her mother as a human being first and then her mother, even now she treats her mother more human than a devi and even babita belongs to 90's generation. So she need not act ad the mahaan EK heroine. I hate all other shows of itv because of this same reason because of the heroines "know it all behaviour". I liked the show because from the beginning they showed babita more human and accepting change in her life wholeheartedly. But what babita says and the next time she behaves is completely in contrast. If the makers really want to show progress then see to it that the main protogonists practice what they preach.

I agree with you about the time slot. Also, Sony is so notorious for giving only short term notice and axing good shows. Although Sony brings in much better shows compared to other channels, but they also ruin their own shows. They totally ruined YPNTKY and also Kuch Rang and Moh Moh ke dhage

I’ve not been watching long but I agree, Sony do way better shows than zee (never seen shows so slow, superstitious and mindless like I’ve seen on zee)

Isn’t it funny tho how the same ppl who make the show loved (writers etc) can also ruin it? Would be interesting to find out what really happens once they get their audience to make them lose creativity as they do. I personally would love to watch a longer running show and see them not only do the usual love bs but also including social issues that both young and older ppl face. That’s what I initially thought Pb was going to go but then it just got a bit stagnant

Btw thank you for the response to my question, it doesn’t really translate what it is but with you say it’s name given to EK shows I can assume it’s the mindless going round in circles, unrealistic bs - I have watched dil hi to hai and more frustratingly kumkum bhagya (help) 😭😭😭

I used to like this soap also. But sadly they ended it so abrubtly :(

Sony interfered with the show and asked the PH to show two marriages of Mukhi, Mukhi leaving Aru, etc. Ejaz did not agree and threatened to quit. PH also did not agree. So show got axed with only 15 day notice. That is what I had heard. Anyways, the way PB is going....I am more frustrated with Mini.....Why can't she go to college and behave normal now. Why she has to be there in all adult affairs? And the way she talks and behaves...as if she is know all. Mother and daughter taking advantage of HS....I skip MIni's scenes now.

finally watched the episode, and it was one of the worst episodes ive watched from the start. i did not like how they made babita go about getting ashok out of jail, it could of been written in a much better way. it seemed all very calculated, when HS said no she then used his dead wife to get him to do what she wants. she manipulated both HS and mini and would not even listen to her daughters feelings when she found out, even tho mini actually has more sense than babita. i didnt like how she essentially gave HS an ultimatum and cos hes in love with her he couldnt say no as she would not forgive him. that makes her no different to khatri who manipulates and uses people to get them to do what they want.

I don't know if the CVs even realize that they are showing Babita and Mini as manipulative parasites. The writing is so bad that this is the impression being given to viewers. At least that is how I am feeling.

its how im feeling also, and it seems many people are feeling that way. i seen a promo about mini finding out about hs feelings and she isnt taking it well. i feel like theyve introduced this topic a bit soon. mini is only just getting over ashok, i feel like they should have showed a few months of them getting over struggles in the business before them introducing the love angle out in the open.

The fact that she used his dead wife’s name is also a pretty low thing to do, knowing how her death bothered him. You don’t remind someone of one of the most painful things to try to get them to do what you want. She has used his dead wife and his feelings and put him in awkward position professionally (his job, being another thing he holds dear that she wants him to compromise). Can you picture babita doing a favour for HS if it compromised her business?

@bold

I want HS to bring this point up later and hold her accountable for it. It's unacceptable. Is it only Babita who has feelings? What about those around her?

That definitely was a low blow. Babita is coming across as a manipulative bish..she is aware of hanuman's feelings towards her and using it 👎🏼

I get why she released Ashok from jail

She didn't want to be responsible for the downfall of Minis dad

His parents and Mini were ashamed of him and he would just rot in prison and become even more terrible

She released him to actually release him from her life

However where she is getting money for tix to London and all that is another thing

Not to mention it was badly executed but I guess this was a peaceful way to end Ashok story but also make it possible for him to return later on

HS' shocked face when Babita credited him with the changes in her - he realized that he is important to her and that was the first time she'd acknowledged it. When she mentioned Minnie I was thinking that she should also consider HS' contribution in her journey, but then to my surprise she pointed to him too. I thought I was dreaming! LOL!

Aniruddh was damn good today, the seething anger, the brimming tears, but still maintaining steely control over his emotions given the situation.

The tu hi re bit when he had flashbacks, as he thought he was losing Babita ... aww! He didn't speak much in this episode but his eyes told us everything.
