Daayan gets an extention (New IWMBuzz article)

Daayan the popular supernatural thriller on &TV that is produced by Balaji Telefilms has had a good run and was slated to end this weekend that is 14 July. IWMBuzz.com was the first to report this news.

However, there seems to be a last hour change to the plan.

Daayan has now bagged an extension and will go on for few more weeks.

The reason being that the channel is not yet ready with its new show that will replace Daayan at its weekend slot. Also the makers and channel feel that they have enough matter to play around with the climax track in Daayan that will keep viewers engrossed.

News coming in is that the last airing date of Daayan as of now will be 28 July. However there is every chance of the show ending in the first week of August.

As per a reliable source, “The team of Daayan was almost shooting for its climax when the extension news came in. Now the team will rethink on the future track and drama that will be needed to extend the show.”

As we know, the story of Daayan is precariously placed with the real Daayan revealed in Asha (Priya Bathija), post which Jhanvi (Tina Duttaa) got pregnant with the kid in the womb having evil powers. Recently, the family of Jhanvi was turned into a stone, post which there was drama over Aakarsh (Mohit Malhotra) refusing to abort his child.

Now the drama will be taken forward for nearly a month or so.

We buzzed actors associated with the show for a confirmation but did not get through to them.

We reached out to the channel spokesperson but did not get revert.

Now thats a good news! I was watching all other serials on star plus and zee and colors and dont know why i felt all the serials were lame..Daayan is such a gem of show for me...its a stress buster big time...with less headache, also there is currently no other shows, that i can appreciate the lead's chemistry...female lead's beauty...Tina is the jaan of the show and this is such a gem of show...i hope they come up with season 2 of dayaan with Tina on zee Tv...that way she can a brand for Daayan series.

I am not getting enough of Tina's beauty...i want to see her soon enough.

Gonna miss her a lot as Jhanvi after the show ends. The akarshvi scenes are pure magic, they make me wait to watch them again. We don't know if they are planning a season 2 or not. But as of now gonna miss her as Jhanvi! And her and Mohit's onscreen pair was so beautiful. Akarshvi were so fresh and beautiful onscreen. Mohit was amazing as Akarsh.

The show was so different but somewhere with that mutiple marriage and all, and helpless son track, it became little ordinary tv show. But yet it was nice show. Akarshvi were beautiful!!

Want to see her too back again soon onscreen!

Hopefully they show happy ending for Akarshvi!

@Mages, @The_Trendsetter..can u do some favor..i just saw on Instagram Pearl v puri fans were bombing balaji official instagram for pearl new show to be with Balaji before Naagin was ending..thats how he got Bepannah pyaar ..can u guys do the same with Tina and Mohit if u want...in that case...we may see them in next Balaji shows...Ekta and Balaji reads fans comments..i did comment on some for Tina and Mohit..please guys u should also help out..

doesn't ujjain rain...i wish we have rain scenes of akarshvi...they can show it in any form w/o intimacy too...i am bored with the palace

they are sheer magic...god knows what is their chemistry...w/o intimacy...w/o physical scenes...with off-screen issues based on emotions...they still look as gorgeous on-screen...some vibe in their chemistry that just attracts you...pull you towards them...something b/w them that is just pure magical

3)if mohit-tina casted again....reincarnation type of story

tina-mohit as a on-screen couple are just gorgeous if they are shown in zee...colors n sp,they would have been a tough competition to those channel couples

multiple marriage was disgusting...that track was never needed at all...helpless son n husband i still can accept it as it revolves around akarsh but the satrupa track was more annoying and was needed..i mean she could be a friend to jhanvi and help.. guide her to fight the daayan but they mess it up by making satrupa obsessed with akarsh

Want to see her too back again soon onscreen!

she has been choosy with her projects but will definitely comeback with a strong character but for me Jhanvi is her best till date

actors she does repeat but jodis very rarely she repeats....the only ones she repeated were hiten-gauri...karan-kritika(popular demand)...ram-sakshi...even if there is no insta bombarding she will repeat pvp...she also repeat harshad twice(kdmhmd n tere liye)...hiten...ram...ronit...eijaz..shabbir...karan patel in many of her shows as leads....so fans bombarding is not an issue...great talent she always repeats

its jodis that needs repeating...if any role suits tina and mohit...she will repeat them in her shows as leads infact mohit has done 2 shows with her as post-leap lead...sakshi did KGGK n BALH....anita did kabhi sautan kabhi saheli...kavyanjali...yeh hai mohabbatein n Naagin 3...so actors doing her show is not an issue...if role suits she will repeat...

what we need is repeating of mohit-tina again...seriously i am still wondering what was in her mind when she casted both of them in supernatural genre...i mean yes daayan had a unique storyline(not anymore)...beautiful love story(though not focus much)...everything is good but this gorgeous couple is made for her intense n passionate love stories where the focus is only on them

regards to off-screen issues keeping in mind...if they work together now w/o creating any issues for each other with maintained respect...dignity...distance...they can do the same in future even for a intense love story

They are just repeating it and stretching it, Satrupa track they have stretched like rubber band or even beyond that (Whole two weeks were about AKarsh capturing all roops of satrupa and planning to send away Satrupa to other world because he thought she was a severe danger to Jhanvi and that is why he was mad at Jhanvi that she indirectly spoiled all his plan of sending away satrups, and now they are showing Akarsh thinks Satrupa is not powerful enough to do anything to them). Satrupa character was so good when introduced, they have just reduced her to nothing, its irritating. Daayan is confusing. Not even liking Veer Prachi torture track, even their story looks rushed.. In just one epi they show Veer and Prachi are head over heels in love with each other. Then same scenes repeatedly. The audience knows Prachi is possessed and thus behaving oddly. Too much torture, prachi, Harsh. Everyone has lost their thinking power to be honest. Only Deepank and Jhanvi seemed to have figure out what was happening. The track is so boring and repetitive.

Hope so they show good scenes, also there is raining in Mumbai, they can get an idea for rain sequence but honestly don't trust makers for that. The upcoming scenes would be more focused on satrupa ending track and daayan ending track as the show is ending.

Tina is definitely the heart n soul of the show...they need to focus on akarsh-jhanvi than the stupid drama going on with daayan...its due to the gorgeous couple i am tolerating that stupid drama of jhanvi's family n daayan...sometime i wish jhanvi family just vanish away...too much focus on them n veer is irritating

Tinaa has given all she got to the show, be it acting wise, dialogue delivery , dance performances, emotional scenes. SHe has improved by leaps and bound since I first saw her on TV. She has literally bloomed into a gorgeous diva and ab absolutely talented actress. The way she conveys her emotions through her eyes, she is just so wonderful performance. She is definitely the jaan of the show. Mohit also is great actor. They should use them together as much as possible. They complement each other so so well onscreen!

The story is about daayan but after AKarsh being introduced as Daayan, they have all the reasons to focus on AKarshvi.

Jhanvi's family is confusing but again I would say at least they have good intentions, just normal family who want safety of their daughter and son in law. They think the child is satrupa's (they are totally dumb here but then before that tantra and all, even they didn't fully believe satrupa) and it will kill Jhanvi and Akarsh also won't be able to live without her and they all also love Jhanvi. They just want Jhanvi's safety. But their method is very wrong. They can't kill the child without even informing AKarshvi. That is so wrong. Better would have been they had tried to convince Akarshvi about their assumption. In fact they all have whole heartedly accepted Akarsh and Jhanvi together now inspite of what all happened, were so happy when they heard from doctors that AKarshvi were pregnant.

Once they know the child is actually Akarshvi's baby, the whole family will shower the child with all the love and will take full care of the child and Jhanvi. They are dumbest but still good hearted people!

Ofcourse yaar, but there won't be fresh episodes. I mean think that ways. Watching her as Jhanvi in all those new looks, new emotions, new track for Akarshvi.

True, they are magical. SO much better performare and good looking than many couples who have tons of intimate scenes to catch the audience's attention. They are too beautiful!

Agree, andtv has all shows with such bad trps, the channel has altogether very less audience reach!

Completely agree! The shadi and then suhagrat when he was imagining Jhanvi instead of Satrups and on other hand they shows Daayan torturing Jhanvi to death. They ruined whole beauty of Akarshvi with this Satrups track!

That is so true! She is very choosy about what projects she takes. I have loved her choice to be honest. Ichcha was I guess not her choice, she was newbie in hindi TV and that was a show offered but the way she gave heart and soul to Ichcha's character, no one else could have done that, she make Ichcha's character so lovable and popular by her innocent acting and her performance. Then Karmphaldaata Shani, loved how she was not so perfect in hindi (being bengali) yet took mytho show with those typical ancient hindi dialogues and nailed it. Saw how her co stars used to help her with those difficult hindi words. She is so dedicated and hardworking. Out of all her characters, I feel Jhanvi was most well written and most dynamic and challenging character for her and she nailed it and how! It was emotionally changing role/ physically challenging role and got to show all her shades and talents, be it as a performer or as a dances, in just few weeks. SO many emotional scenes, outdoor scenes, Jhanvi being possesed scenes and what not. She did every thing so flawlessly!
